Hi everyone,
Before I was diagnosed with BP I was a
casual drinker and usually a happy one at
that. After my diagnosis I was told that
drinking and BP don't mix, and it really
in many ways effected my way of living.
Health is the most important, I will never
dispute this, however does anyone with BP
ever have an occasional drink?
Valentines day is this week, it would be
nice to share a glass of wine with the
one I love.

I really don't think one glass of wine
would make that much of a difference.
I do, from time to time, take a drink (But
mostly cus my family glares at me when I
refuse one at family gatherings...I think
they feel as if tho I am being
anti-social). At any rate, the most that
has happened (and this is usually after
more than one drink) is that my state
would switch from depressive to
manic...and last a bit longer than usual.
If I would put my head down after a few
drinks I would be out till the middle of
the next day...
But, I don't think there is anything for
you to be worried about in terms of a
glass of wine over dinner
