I had a plastic coil inserted about 5 or 6
years ago and the medical doctor told me
that when this is to be removed remember
to tell the doctor that it will not show
up on the scan. Now I went to the doctor 3
years ago and said that I think I have
PCO's and that I was wanting my coil
removed because I was trying for a baby.
The doctor made an appointment for me to
have a scan, confirming the PCO but could
not see a coil. My partner & I tried
for another year to have a baby still with
no joy. Specialist wanted another scan
done, said no coil. Tried for another year
trying all sorts of drugs, metphomine etc,
still no joy. I have never found it hard
to fall pregnant before? Do I still have
my coil in? Does anybody know about these
plastic coils and whether you can see them
on a scan? And what do you think I should
do now, I feel like I've tried
everything...

Do you remember what the NAME of the coil
is?
WHAT country did you get it in?
YES, it is most likely still inside of
you!!
The coil prevents pregnancy, and needs to
be removed if you wish to get pregnant.

I don't remember, thats the thing but def
do remember the doc saying that it wouldnt
show up on the scan... I had it done in
the UK England. Some of the nurses and
doctors havn't even heard of a plastic
coil before!!! I have the doctors tomorrow
and will demand that somebody takes a look
for I am almost convinced that it is still
there...
