Stone 9.5mm X 13mm

Am sitting here staring at the stone that I passed (actually had to finish pulling it out of the urethral opening) mid-april; it is oval, 9.5mm x 13mm. My gyno told me to contact a urologist. That appointment is mid-may. Last fri I experienced severe cramping over my right kidney; this went away after about 15 min. Sunday morning I started experiencing sharp pain in my groin region, worse when I walked. It continues today. I contacted the urologist; their pa informed me that I can wait until my appointment. Called another urologist; they made me an appointment for wed. I can barely walk without wanting to scream! Is this common, the unconcern? Most of what I read on the web, including on forums like this, people talk with concern about stones the size of bb's; my first-ever stone was fully 3/8" x 1/2". And I didn't have this groin pain with that first one. Am I being overly concerned? Is there really nothing to worry about? Just hang tough on the pain?
