Haha, yeah. You can always do a minor in
theatre. It will help to cover the extra
units you will need towards your
bachelor's

Extra units?
I have a feeling there is more to this
college thing that my guidance counselor
wants me to know...

your scores must have been pretty high to
get those letters.

Example from my school:
180 units needed for a bachelor of arts
A portion of those are for you major focus
and requirements. Another part is for
general education to create a well rounded
student, and the rest will be *extra*.
Like art classes or dance. You can use
those units for a minor, such as theatre.

My PSAT score was a 207 out of 240, which
left me with a projected score of
2070/2400 on the SATs.
Last year I got a 182/240 and got a lot of
letters, but not this many!

That is a great score. I can't even
remember my SAT's. I know yours is
harder, especially with the added essay.

The essay was the FIRST thing we did. Not
even 9AM on a SATURDAY and they slapped us
in the face with an essay.
Stupid ETS/CollegeBoard.

Pre-law? It's all pre-law! You can major
in whatever you want, just do well in your
classes.

A lot of the pre law student at my school
major is philosophy. As long as you get a
good score on the LSATs you should be fine

Yeah, but if I majored in theater, I'd
scrap the law school plan and end up
waiting tables waiting for my "big
break."
And that is TOTALLY what I'll be paying to
go to college for.

I have an idea, why not go to law school
while you are waiting for your big break,
instead of waiting tables?

I would use it as a minor. Many actors
have regular college degrees, many after
they got famous!

I thought about that, but then if I
somehow, by the grace of God, got some
sort of role, wouldn't that interfere with
school?

Yes. It is always good to have a fallback
plan. You will always have this education
and acting really depends on your talent,
not what you studies and where.

Great scores and congrats on all the
letters! A little advice: you don't
necessarily have to be pre-law as an
undergrad if you're planning on attending
law school. Being a political science
major is a popular option.

Yep! The majority of people who go to law
school were poli-sci majors undergrad. I'm
a journalism major, and a lot of people in
my field go to law school, too. My name is
Rachel, btw

It also may depend on your focus as a
lawyer. Criminal lawyers would do best to
major in Criminal Justice.

Journalism? That's cool! I'm going to have
to keep a running list. Thanks Rachel
(that is infinitely easier to type than
rasuyoung, which I kept wanting to type as
rayusoung [I am apparently slightly
illiterate ]).
