My poor daughter had her first experience
with death yesterday Her fish that she
has had for 2yrs died yesterday and we had
to tell her when she got home from
school.
She named him Nemo and she just loved him
so she was devastated..she cried her eyes
out!!! Poor thing. I sure hope that
nothing happens to our cat and dog for a
long time because I don't know how she
could take it....she is sooo sensitive

Aww!! How sad!!!!
After SUG dies, I don't want ANY more
pets. I, myself, can't handle death. I can
only imagine how Oni & Nya will take
it!!
I'm so sorry. I bet your heart was broken
for her more than hers was for the fishy!

aww thats soooo sad, my cat is quite old
and im hoping he doesnt pass, i think
joseph would be heartbroken that the kitty
cat is gone. My parents never got us any
pets , our first dog we got i was in the
6th grade and we still had him when i
graduated high school then a friend of
mine took him when we moved and i told him
not to tell me when he died.

my golden retriever is 10...and I keep
thinking to myself how we may only have a
few years left. I don't know how I am
going to deal with it. She was my baby
before I had babies. She got my through
some pretty shitty times too.
My husband works alot of backshift, and
many nights, it was just me and her....

Aww, did you have a big ceremony for Nemo?
When my daughter's fish died, I gave her
little 'coffins' lines with tissue (small
matchboxes) and she burried them in the
backyard and her and the neighbor girl
said little prayers.

i still vividly remember when our
16-year-old golden retriever died when i
was 8. one morning i went out to our van
to get a toy i'd forgotten and he was laid
out on the floor. he'd been hit by a car
the night before.

Awwww that is so sad. When my daughter
was young she had a spotted dalmation
molly named, "Pongo---how original huh?
She was heartbroken when he died. Luckily
they don't remember it for too long.
Bridget, that is the saddest story ever.
Were you the one who found him? That must
have been horrifying!!!!!!!

shannah, are you going to get her a new
fish?
cindy, he'd been hit the night before and
my mom had put him in the van to take him
wherever you take dead animals (the vet?
i've never thought about it!). i'm sure
she would have stopped me but i ran out to
the car without telling anyone and saw him
in there, then i went in and asked why he
was sleeping in the car.

Well we rally couldn't bury it because its
winter here and the ground is all frozen.
So my dh took care of it last night when
she was sleeping and we told her that he
is gone to fishy heaven.
We're thinking about getting her a new
one. We might wait until easter and bring
her to the pet store and let her pick on
out.
I had golden retriever named Woody, when
he was about 3 I gave him to my dad
because I was having a hard time (single,
pregnant, 17) He was mine and my exes but
than my ex left and I couldn't afford to
keep him. Anyways this dog became my dad's
best friend (it was just him and Woody).
One morning at like 5am my dad called me
sobbing "Woodster's gone" well omg I
freaked. My dad said that he had put him
outside around 4am because he wanted to go
out which was very unusual and so he kept
checking on him. He was just lying there
really peacefully and he wouldn't respond
to his name so he went up close and it
looked like he was sleeping but he was
gone. Me and my hubby had to go and pick
him up and bring him to the cemetary, my
dad couldn't do it.
It was so hard to see my dad ( a grown
man) be such a wreck. These animals really
do become a huge part of our lives.
Sorry about the long post....I just got
carried away

Aww... I have a retriever/lab whatever
else mix that we gave to my step-dad's
parents in Louisiana we had her till she
was about 7 and she's now 10 or 11... I
just keep thinking how sad i'll be when
she's gone.. She was my BEST friend.. she
slept with me when I was sick or sad and
made me happy
I also had a 4 or 5 weeks old
kitten..Gothkin (after my friends
wrestling name) That my mom made me leave
there.. 2 weeks later my mom told me he
had gotten bit by a spider or a snake..we
now thik it was a HUGE owl that got him
