I've been on the nuvaring for à month and
I thought I was pregnant. I'm tired
depressed all I wanna do is sleep I'm
soooooo hungry having cravings for
anything with cheese. I have migraines and
à little weight gain and Im having à hard
time removing it. What's the best way to
remove it I had my boyfriend remove it the

Crouch down in the bathroom or anywhere
you're comfortable. Spread your knees and
relax. This position shortens the vagina
and also opens it, allowing you to reach
inside and feel around for the ring. You
can do this by the side of the bed so you
can lean against it for balance.
If you cannot feel it or it is just out of
reach, bear down - push down - almost like
a bowel movement. You should be able to
push down with the muscles in your vagina
- these are your kegals! This will also
help assist in lowering the ring and
getting it in reach of your fingers. I'm
sure it's very slippery but don't stress.
Relax and remain calm. It can take a while
to take it out the first few times. I know
it can be scary and nervewraking. Get a
good grip and pull it out. You should be
able to just loop a finger around it.
I know about this not because I was on
nuvaring, but because I do use a divacup,
which is a silicone cup that you insert
during your period instead of a tampon. It
catches the menstrual fluids and you just
dump them in the toilet. The cup is
washable and lasts a lifetime. It is very
tricky to insert and to remove!! But I
love it. My only issue is that it makes my
vulva very sore. My vulva is extremely
sensitive - to the point of being painful
anyway - during my period and the cup can
hurt it a little.
You can practice putting it in and
removing it again several times when you
first insert it each time; that's okay!

LIKE I HAVE SAID, you need to stop posting
in all caps. It's very, very annoying.

If you can touch it, you should be able to
hook your finger in the ring and just pull
it out. In the future, you don't need to
put it in so far, just far enough that it
doesn't fall out.

You're not going to hurt yourself by
sticking your fingers up there. Remember,
a penis goes up just as far, and a baby
can come out!!

You should be able to reach all the way to
your cervix (it's difficult, but you
should be able to) so you should be able
to get it out no matter where it is. Your
vagina just isn't that long.
Lol- since using the ring before and now
divacup, I've learned never to have long
nails, lol!

Sometimes you may have to flex with your
vaginal muscles and push it a little
closer to your fingers. But don't worry,
even if you have a little trouble getting
it out sometimes, it won't get lost in
there.

If these tips didn't help you, maybe it's
because you're afraid of having your
finger up there. I know I was, and still
somewhat am. It's not that I'm afraid of
having anything in my vagina, just that I
was doing it to myself. That being said,
your issue may be psychological, so here's
what helped me get my ring out the first
few times:
1. Play some music that will relax you, or
the TV. Get your mind away from the fact
that you've never done this before
2. Maybe have your boyfriend talk to you
or be there. Again, this is about
relaxation, not about having him do it for
you.
3. Finally, what helped me the most was
using lubricant on my index finger. maybe
you already have some or you could just go
to a grocery store and grab some. Find
that comfortable position (either
squatting, or lying down with your legs
up) and see if the lubricant made your
finger slide in easier
I know this really helped me, so I hope it
works for you!
