Late Period and Cramps
Posted: 02-14-08 17:45pm

i'm 41/2 days late, normal discharge, very different cramping in my uterus. I have sharp pinching near my ovaries, but then again the cramping is not like I'm getting my period. I'm gassy and cramping higher up in my uterus. I have not been on birth control for 4 months and we are trying to get pregnant. I took a test today, but it was negative. It was first response and it said the later you are the better the test will work. I need some answers please.

Wait a few more days and try testing again, if it comes out negative then go to your doctotr for a blood test.

You *should* be able to get an accurate result anytime after your missed period...I would give it 2 or 3 more days before you test again just to be sure. Good luck!

If you get another negative call and you are still getting pains call your doctor. You could have developed an ovarian cyst.
