I just wonder, does anyone agree with what
happens in the end? Do you think he did
the right thing? Would you have done the
same?

It's a movie. What do you mean by
fallacious?

That is was Proven to be fallacious
perhaps? That does make it a fallacy.
A X-ray tech and son of a prominent
radiologist says: "I dispute the "scream"
notion of either a Doppler or real-time
ultrasound. What you see is a
xeroradiographic film of acoustical echoes
as they bounce around and envelope certain
tissues. The waves you label a "scream"
are acoustical shadows of amniotic fluid
displaced by pressure or puncture of the
sac. These waves tend to radiate in a
counter-clockwise cyclonic manner, much
like water flowing down a drain"
The cerebro cortex doesn't start to
function until about the same time as the
outer edge of viability - 20 to 22 weeks,
long after most abortions are done. While
I do support restrictions on later
abortions there is absolutely no medical
support of any fetal reactions or even
personhood in the first trimester when 90%
of all abortions are performed.
To claim otherwise is a bold face lie to
promote the emotionally charged immature
ideas of the anti-women, anti-choice
movement. Let me also be clear that in a
perfect world abortion would not be
needed. I believe abortion is the least
favorable choices over not becoming
pregnant or adoption. However, it clearly
should be the women's choice at least in
the first trimester.
I strongly suggest you study when the
cerebral coretex actually develops enough
to produce emotions, which are actually
chemical reactions, before defending bald
faced lies like this appallngly inaccurate
piece of propaganda.

I watched it last night. On a emotional
level I would disagree with what he did.
But if I think about it I would have to
agree. There are agencies to report to
and if that had been done then the police
officer could have made a point of keeping
the pressure on the agency to make sure
there was action on behalf of the child.
The Aunt and Uncle could have petioned for
guardianship of the neice. There were
just to many things that could have been
done that weren't.
Instead they jump right to kidnapping (and
even with the best of intentions that is
what they did)
so in the end I would have to say he did
the right thing. Fortuanately it was just
a movie and hopefully no one would set up
a chin of events that result in multible
murders, the corruption of several police
officers and the death of another child to
save one child from a disinterested
mother.

no. it's not about madeline mccann, but
holy does the little girl in it look like
her! i think they delayed the release of
the movie because they didn't want it to
be confused with her story and out of
respect for the parents.

Children Are Not Pets Posted: 02-20-08 18:37pm
Children deserve to live. They say we
don't pick our parents, but, certainly it
is the parents who conceive the child.
And, as Jincks said, there are options
available to women. I personally am
pro-life. That is not a big secret on
this Forum.
I have always advocated responsibility
with a capital R. There are certainly
some painful choices made with for the
reasons only they can make, a child can't
stay. It is sad for everybody concerned.
Still, we live and learn with our
mistakes.
Sistersister, you have a good heart. I
can tell. Social Services is a system.
You can sometimes just fall through the
cracks.
Killbill, yes, some parents are trully
awful and don't deserve to have children
in their lives, but somehow those kids may
find a way to fight their way out of the
h**lish life their parents live in. Most
of us are survivors.

I just hope no one goes and makes a movie
about her story. It would be in very poor
taste. But you just can't put anything
past some people. They make tv movies
about anything.
