Well I found out tonight that my Dads cancer is spreading for sure & the Dr.s are saying "at best" he will live a year! Sad They won't say how long "at worse". He is getting a Nurse to come check on him weekly and another Nurse who will come and check/take care of his hygene. I think that he needs a full time Nurse though seeing he will be doped up on morphine almost 24/7 meaning he cant care for himself without taking a risk of harming himself. I mean what if he slips and falls while trying to bathe? He can't walk on his own atm anyways w/o his walker and because of all the drugs he has to take hes not exactly all there upstairs too. I was talking to him on the phone tonight and he brought up peter pan out of nowhere & he thought he was in the Nevada hospital where he was born, He is often confused. Anyways please wish my Dad & family luck and much strength, thankyou. Smile

I'm sorry to hear that. I must have missed where you said but what type of cancer does he have? We just found out my aunt has cancer and they have also told her she has a year at most.. Its quite hard but just cherish the days you have with him! I'll say a prayer for you

Well, think on the bright side...

My grandpa had lung cancer that was spreading (now in remission) and they gave him at most 18 months. That was well over 3 years ago now... It may not seem like it but he could live longer than they expect... My grandpa has..

you guys are in my thoughts. Good luck. Best wishes
