INCONTINENCE

I always have this when I sneeze and I wanted to know the reason. I have 4 children and I was told that was the reason. Are there any ways to prevent this? It is very uncomfortable at times and also embarrassing. Thanks Embarassed

Stress incontinence - caused by weakend pelvic floor muscles. Either go to a physio and be shown the correct exercises or see your doctor to discuss a 'repair'. By the way, it is quite common among women who have had several children!

This is my first post. Funny that I ended up here. The urinary system is crazy, isn't it? I go through years where I get a bladder infection every couple months. Fortunately I haven't had one since the spring (knock on wood). I use poise pads during that time so i don't have any issues at work.

I know we aren't really supposed to mention other Web sites, but the Depend web site has lots of good info about the topic of incontinence. (Beyond promoting their own products I mean)

Also, the Incontinence Network has some good info.

Also, I saw a good article about incontinence on The Caregivers marketplace Web site under their resources and links area.

I don't think we can put links on these posts so just look them all up in a google search I guess. Good luck.
