I would like to thank the admin for having
this forum. I have just recently been
diagnosed with genital warts and as
another member declared on this forum, "i
felt like a leper."
i know a lot of people are struggling with
this infection so i'm not going to ask for
sympathy; however, I am coming on here to
learn as much as I can to keep myself as
healthy as possible now.
Of course, I contracted this about 2 weeks
ago and saw my doctor today since I
noticed the wart cluster was becoming
increasingly larger in size. Right now,
it's an isolated cluster, and it's
actually very small in size but
noticeable.
I have plenty of questions. My doctor
consulted me to a urologist today and i'll
be waiting to speak with him but in the
meantime I was wondering a few things.
1. I am currently seeing my previous
girlfriend right now. We had sex in the
past and stopped seing each other for a
moment. Now we're back together. No, I
never cheated on her and our past split
was because she moved. Anyway, i'm not
telling her I have the infection right now
and I plan to use protection always for
the time being. My question is....Will I
ever be able to have unprotected sex with
her and not pass on the virus to her and
cause her to contract genital warts? I
ask because I would like to have a family
with her.
2. Am I correct in assuming I will never
rid myself of the hpv virus and that I may
have an outbreak of the genital warts at
some given time in the future?
3. What is the best treatment on the
market? Sure, I am talking to the
urologist and respect his opinion but I
would like as little scarring and pain as
possible. I am willing to do whatever is
necessary (within means) to take care of
the initial outbreak but if anyone has
heard about herbal treatments (warts no
more and warts no more extra strength?)
please let me know if they are
beneficial.
Thanks for the insight. I've always known
that herpes and hpv were incurable and
hoped I never would get them, but it only
took one slip.

Ur right hpv cannot go away. There is a
chance of her getting it from you if you
have sex unprotected. Especially if youre
having an recurrence of it again. Maybe
she wont get anything when there is
nothing there but I suggest that you
always use protection. You can get them
removed from time to time but..... The
virus will always be there. I suggest
that you do tell her because if she wakes
up one day seeing those warts on her
privates I can assure you she will not be
a happy camper @ all. Something like that
happened to a good friend of mine.If and
all now she still hasnt forgiven or spoken
to the guy that did that to her. I think
that if you sit down and talk to her and
tell her the truth and if she loves you
enough then mabye she will understand. I
dont think that a person who has burning
during urination or who is seeing a weird
growth on their once clean privates will
listen to you too well.I dont know
anything about treatment. But u do need
to keep up with ur urologist.
