Backache mean miscarriage ? Posted: 02-21-08 21:41pm
I just found out yesterday that i am
pregnant again and i am approximately 2 to
3weeks(by my hcg levels). I have had 2
miscarriages in the last 7months and this
is now my third pregnancy! I have had sore
breast so far but no nausea! I have had
backache for the last 5days though. Did
some heavy lifing then, not knowing yet
that I was pregnanct. The backache has
been low and into by butt and hip and down
the back of my thighs. Has anyone else had
backache like this before? I never has
this before, except with my miscarriages.
The backache with them lasted about a day
or two and then bleeding. Just wondered if
it means Iam going to miscarry again or if
it is just stretching or some pregnancy
symptom. If anyone has experienced this
could you let me know!!!Today I have had
backache in the middle of my back as well!

First of all calm down and relax.
When you did the heavy lifting you didn't
know you were pregnant, and that's not
your fault!! You can really put your back
out for a long time with heavy lifting
whether you are pregnant or not, so I'm
thinking that this is all it is, plus an
anxiety related muscle tension!! Try
taking a warm bath to sooth your muscles
and your nerves.
It is pretty common to have a backache
associate with pregnancy because that's
just what hormones do. But for it to be
that intense, I'm going to throw it to the
lifting, which effects were probably
worsened by the pregnancy hormones that
deal with your muscles relaxing and your
joints....hormones are pretty rough aren't
they?
I hope you are taking it easy. No more
heavy lifting and plenty of rest....It's
pretty amazing that you are pregnant again
for the third time even with 2 prior
miscarriages in 7 months. I just have
one question...how long ago was your last
miscarriage? I know you think you are
pregnant, but I'm also wondering at the
possibility that you might not be since
the HCG levels take a little while to go
back down after a prior pregnancy.
