switching from Depo to Ortho-Novum

I have been on the shot for over a year and I'm switching to pills. My doctor wrote the prescription, but now I can't get in touch with him to find out when to start taking them. My "window" for getting my next shot would've ended this wednesday, so I don't know if I should just start this Sunday even though I haven't gotten a period. Has anyone switched, and if so, what did your doctor recommend for a start date? I guess if worse comes to worse, I'll just assume I'm not fully protected for the first month, but I'd rather not! Thanks. Smile

You should start the pill when your SHOT WAS due.

You can start the pill ANYTIME NOW.

You do not need to wait one month EVER... You only need to wait ONE FULL WEEK for the pill to be fully effective.
