I just wanted to welcome you even though I
don't have much information. I don't
think being underaged has anything to do
with giving your child your last name but
that is something that both you and your
girlfriend have to decide on.

Yes the child can have your last name
however... being under age unless her
parents are in support of you staying
together they will argue her not giving
the child your last name. and in no
offense in most cases underage and unwed
the child should go with the mothers last
name IMO.

I dont know if its like this now, but when
my mom grew up she had two married couples
down the street and both of the wives were
best friends and pregnant around the same
time. So the two women decided to have
thier two children(girls) have the same
last name so both of thier kids last names
were McCafferty (neither of the husbands
last names) My mom babysat the girls and
the women said that they wanted thier
girls to be related/the same how.
Moral of the story i think you can name
your baby whatever the heck you want so im
sure it can have your last name and If
your serious and want to stay with her
then why dont you have a licensed marriage
at a court house? So the 3 of you can have
the same last name, that all depends on
you and your girlfriends parents but i
know marrying the mother would be
beneficial for your relationship and the
baby.

Yes the child can have your last name. You
will have to sign an affidavit when giving
a child your last name though stating that
your ARE indeed the father of this child.
This will hold up in ALL court cases.

both of my children have my boyfriends
last name and it seems to hold up with
everything. the only problem we has was
when our first son died, the name on the
death certificate had to be my last name.
the whole thing was such a blur i cant
remember why, but we were still able to
have his given name on the headstone, it
was just the death certificate that was
weird.
