Hi,
Finally got home and relaxed. I figured
out why I've been coughing so much the
last day. I'm catching a cold. Using lot's
of airborne. I'll beat it just watch.
Have you got any more Starbucks lately or
is your doctor too tired to get it done?I
bet he's a hard worker. Rough on his home
life. Has he had anything else to discuss
with you? Hope your still feeling fairly
decent. That sore chest you have is way
better than the pain that comes from
inside. How is your nausea today? Better I
hope .Is your appetite increasing any? Ok
,too many questions. Did you say you
taught some of the hockey players to skate
better? Lots of free tickets huh?
I spent most of my day working on a new
computer teaching program. I'm afraid it's
going to be too advanced for them. Oh well
that's what the admin. wanted . They got
it. Wasted money. I better see if I can
help Carol in the kitchen. I love to cook.
My fluid has been good today. Not much
salt last night. How's Luciana? I'll write
a little later. You too huh. Everything's

Hello. I slept all this while since this
afternoon. Just am so tired. My cardio
decided to let me sleep. He also gave me
pain medicine for my chest. He said he is
pretty sure I cracked it. He is going to
do an xray now to see. it is your turn for
a cold now. I had my share a few weeks
ago. Everyone here seems to be sick. It is
our change of weather probably. I am glad
your fluid is better. Drink lots of tea
for your cold. Got to go for a couple
minutes. Have to get an xray. I just
wanted to let you know nothing happened.

Ok I can finish now. You probably went to
sleep by now especially if you do no feel
well with a cold. Throw that airborne out!
Saw a segment on the Today show and it
does not work. Have some chicken soup and
some rest! Do not underestimate the kids
they may enjoy the computer. I have a
break in my sternum. He said from all the
surgeries I have had in the past month it
does not get a chance to heal and any
slight movement could have done it. No I
used to give kids ice skating lessons and
while I was giving the kids the lessons
the hockey players were also practicing
for their games. As a matter of fact I
did get some free jerseys and tickets and
so did my students. I love to cook too. My
appetite is ok since the bivad I cannot
seem to eat as much as I used to. I know
my cardio does work hard. He is single ,
and once told me he is married to work. He
said eventually he will want to start a
family. He is happy if he can golf once a
week. No Luciana today, and I am so mad I
slept the whole day and missed seeing her.
i hope tommarrow. I am glad you did not
have too much salt. I am going to go.
Sorry it took so long to write. Hope your
cold is better tommarrow. Wish I could
have talked with you more tonight. I
probably will not hear from you until

since I'm sure he was keeping an eye on
you during dialysis. Not pleasant I'm
sure. What are they going to do about the
sternum? Maybe wait.
My Kristen was back in school today and
didn't seem too uncomfortable. No dancing
today,too tired. Yes I drank some orange
juice Mom. Just think when Luciana get's
older what you will sound like. You can
practice on me if you wish. Not on
Jonathan ,he has enough headaches. We are
probably going out for supper. Probably
some salt free dive. I'll let you know.
Gonna do some planting this weekend .
Suppose to be cool.
Please give me a holler when you get a

Hello. yeah I know I am a nag. I have been
told that several times by Jonathan. I
call it being caring. You listened and
drank the oj so my nagging was worth it.
Now you should have some soup. You better
be eating at a no salt dive! Carol better
put her foot down with you. See I told you
Kristen would be ok. Jonathan is ok. It is
a very busy time with work for him. He
will get a break soon. I think him being
busy is good. He does think Luciana needs
to be with me more. He said she misses me.
So the cardio said we have to work
something out. I really do not think he
is doing anything with the sternum. It is
so tender though and swollen. The cardio
said it may heal that way. Yeah he watched
me closely during dialysis. My antibodies
are still high. Our teams are playing
tonite. My sox are gonna knock the sox off
those yanks. The penguins are also on. i
love sports. Well how is the cold ant
better. Enjoy the garden but do not over
do it. Have a respirarory treatment now.

the sternum. They will probably redo it
when you get the heart.
We ate at Salty Joe's. For some reason I
gained 25 lbs. in the last 30 minutes.ha
ha. The advice you give is well taken.

Hello. I need two tv's tonite. I hope you
take my advice it is not all that bad. I
do care. My cardio said he has no
problems most days with luciana being
dropped off and her staying with me, but
he is concerned when she is here and I get
really tired and fall asleep like I have
been doing lately who is going to watch
her? I do not know if I mentioned it, but
we had to put her in daycare, because
everyone that watched her has to work.
everyone else in my family works and
cannot watch her in the day. My friend who
used to help out decided to go back to
work. So there would be no one that could
come and pick her up. I will try and stay
awake. I want to try her coming in the day
and see how it is. The cardio said not on
dialysis days. What did you mean how would
they fix my sternum? You are really funny
about where you ate! You better not have
gained two pounds from your dinner! Two
pounds of fluid that is. That will be
good for you to work in the garden it will
not be too hot. I know you enjoy the
garden. just take it easy. The cardio also
said he needs to figure out how I can get
moving without straining my heart, because
he is concerned about the clots in my
legs. He also did a vascular study on my
legs because he did not like the way my
right calf looked. So I am eager to see
what transpires out of this. You are still
a yankees fan admit it! They interviewed
arod and that made me sicker than the
dialysis yuck! Where and what did you eat!
How is the cold and do you have a cough
also? enjoyed hearing from you. write

I've got an idea on who to keep
Luciana.The hospital has a social service
dept. I'm sure. Why couldn't they get
someone to be with,both, you and Luciana.
Try it ,that's what they are there for.
What I meant on the sternum was that When
you have the surgery for the transplant
they can reposition the chest at that
time. Your lbeing in bed is probably
causing the clots to kick out. No
exercise. Also you might ask the cardio if
he is thinking about stenting the calf
area to open up the vessels. It would be
good if you could do some kind of
movement.
We had a lite supper. Very low salt
because I know you care and you are right
even if I kid around alot. It's just me. I
guess i need to get outside while it's
cool. Play in the garden. Write me. I'll
do the same. Everything's good,

It will not solve all your problems but

Enjoy yourself in the garden. The sox
better do better today. I got aggrivated
and turned it off and watched the hockey
game. That was a good game. Thank you I
will talk to the social worker about
Luciana. It is hard to believe it is
affecting her so much and she is so young.
Usually most kids that young forget.
Luciana is coming today. I just talked to
Jonathan on the phone and I talked to her
on the phone. Her bady talk is so cute.
Jonathan said she is all ready to come.
Thank you for explaining the sternum. If
it has to heal looking like this and even
after the transplant if it still looks
like this it is ok it will be a small
price to pay for my new working heart. It
is just so tender. The cardio said he is
not sure yet what he wants to do with my
legs. He is still pondering over it. I
asked him about the stents, and he said
he is considering it . Thank you for
helping it is easier to ask my cardio
questions when you explain things to me.
What else do you have planned for today?

I just quit working in the garden. It's
amazing even at 80 degrees the sun feels
too hot for me . I'm inside for the rest
of the day. Maybe this eve i'll go out for
a while.
How's everything going up there in bean

today. It would be nice to be over that.

I think the cold's trying to settle in my
chest. That is usually when I get
bronchitis, and my copd shows up. I'll try
to nip it early. I have a little emphzema
and I acts up every once in a while. I
quit smoking almost 20 years ago so my doc
is not quite sure what is causing it. I'll
be fine. I think I might even take a nap.
What'a ya think? I'll write later. Let me

fluids to loosen your congestion. 80
degrees feels hot because it is hot. Calll
your doctor on Monday maybe you need an
antibiotic. I think you had enough in the
garden for today. you feel worse and you
are going to go back in the garden. You
must like people to nag you to slow down!
Now I am yelling at you. there is always
tommarrow! My sox are winning and Luciana
watched it with me up to the fourth
inning. She laid with me quietly for that
long then started getting restless and
wanted to lay on my chest and stomach.
When we told her no she started crying.
Well to quiet her jonathan put her on my
stomach to lay and she moved her way up to
my chest right on my sore sternum and she
fell asleep. She is a tough cookie. The
pain I am in now is worth it anything to
make her happy. Jonathan just took her
home. A one run game now our sox on top.
David ortiz is not doing so well. Thank
god we have manny. I almost got sick after
breakfast. My cardio gave me some
compazine. It is supper and I am afraid to
eat. Yeah I do wish I was at fenway.
Hopefully I will be well again by the time
world series rolls around. Thank you for
asking if I need anything. Just your kind
words and prayers. my cardio idoes not
want me to have dialysis tommarrow. i
hope i do get a break. Jonathan was able
to stay today. I enjoyed that he was able
to stay. He is going to play raquetball
later. That is how he relieves stress. I
think I just want soup for supper. The
weather here is not that nice. Very dreary
it looks outside. I want to ask maybe
when it gets warmer if I can go outside. I
will go in a wheelchair. Just to get some
air. What do you think? do not yell at me
I am just asking what you think, before I
go and ask. They want to do an xray now
of my chest so I have to go. You better

think your cardio is being very cautious
about the dialysis. Wants you to stay as
comfortable as possible for as long as
possible. You will probably have it
Monday. You'll be a little more rested.
Talking about prayers, you will have a
bunch at service tomorrow. You know I
think that might be good for you if you
could go outside in a sunny area. It might
still be too cold for you out of doors.
Racketball is pretty strenuous. Jonathan
must be in pretty good shape. Glad he can
do that. Probably makes you feel better
that he relieves his stress that way. Is
he still attending the support group? Hope
so.
I Know what I was going to ask you.
After you had the bivad implanted did you
tell me they were still checking your bp
and pulse. I didn't think you had either
with a bivad. Am I wrong? Unless I'm
thinking about an Lvad. Let me know.
I'm going to have a sandwich for supper.
Easy and healthy. Also keeps me from
getting chewed out by you. I'll write

Sorry so late, but I fell asleep. Yeah the
cardio actually saw her, and he was not
too happy. He said babies like to sleep
on peoples chest because listening to the
heartbeat makes them feel like they are
still in the womb. I never really knew
that. I am surprised she fell asleep
listening to mine. I do still have heart
monitors on, they really do not check my
pulse now. They do say my pressure is
high, and I just assume it is my blood
pressure. I hope I answered your
questions. Good job on the sandwich, hope
it was not salami and provolone. Hope it
was low fat low salt turkey and fat free
cheese. How is your cough? I hate
bronchitis and for obvious reasons. So
call your family doctor and see if you
need a chest xray and antibiotic. jonathan
is an athletic trainer that is his job so
he is in great shape. He played raquetball
for years. I really did enjoy them. If you
could have seen luciana glued to the tv
during those innings. Jonathan and I were
laughing. all he did was shake his head
and said not another sox fan I have to put
up with. no dialysis tommarrow. not
because my kidneys are better it is just
taking a toll. i need a break from it. I
am so glad you think going out when it is
warmer is a good idea. now i can ask
tommarrow. I bet you went back in the
garden! how about that sox game and the
rain delay in the eighth inning! I am
going to go. very tired still. thank you
for the prayers. i have them coming your

grandmother had chronic bronchitis and had
a nebulizer to use. No Jonathan and
Luciana . My cardio said not today. I woke
up not feeling well. He said he would like
my legs to be done maybe on Wednesday. I

also take a steroid in case I develope
asthma. I'm a little conjested but ok.

Is your stomach doing better ? I don,t
want the doc to wait too long on your
legs. I'm sure he is trying to get you
stronger for the cath. Anything on
dialysis? Sorry you didn't see the family.
They are not taking any chances on your
getting worse because of visitation. Just
know your family loves you. That's what
matters now.
