If you experienced pain in the LOWER right
rib cage after eating gallbladder disorder
could be a possible diagnosis, but since
you indicate that the pain is coming from
the UPPER right rib cage, DNC (distonia
neuro circulatoria) may be possible. DNC
is a kind of neurotic disorder wherein a
patient feels or experiences symptoms that
can not be explained or diagnosed as a
real organic disease. Nonetheless,
before targeting DNC as the cause for your
symptoms you can visit your GP for an
examination.
Furthermore, pain in the upper right
ribcage might originate from the shoulder
joint, muscles, ribs, lung covering
(pleura) or from the nerves themselves.
You can request a CT-scan or an MRI of the
chest and spine and shoulder to identify
the cause for your pain. To follow up,
schedule an appointment with your general
physician or family doctor.
