Dental care denied to welfare recipients Posted: 02-24-08 20:04pm
Two days ago I hear of the news that the
Dentist's Association is advising their
members not to offer services through the
health system to welfare recipients. They
have aked for a 35% raise from the
government and they didn't get it. This
means that I might not get free dental
care anymore, as I don't work and am
schizophrenic. I am appaled that the
people that make the most money in society
are asking for that kind of a raise and
taking it out on the poorest people since
they didn't get it. If nothing changes in
this matter I don't know what I'm going to
do.

Really? That sounds terrible! Can they
even do that? Grr...
If they do this, perhaps the agency that
you get welfare through would be able to
give you suggestions of an alternative?

Well... did you know that there are
millions of working citizens out there
that make just a little too much to
qualify for welfare, but don't have any
dental benefits??? I'm surprised you
didn't know! Dental work is so pricey,
they can not afford to even get cleanings
or simple cavities filled!
Not trying to react in a negative way to
your question, just trying to figure out
how welfare recipients should have the
right (or qualify) for dental work through
welfare, when there are millions of
taxpayers (paying for welfare) who don't
get that privilege.

I'm sure he knew. Philo is quite
intelligent and perceptive, from what I've
seen on here so far.
How about this.... everyone should get
dental health care!!! All health care
should be affordable!!
