plaquenil for schleroderma causing bipolar ? Posted: 02-25-08 18:51pm
In 2006 I was diagnosed with Schleroderma
and put on plaquenil for RA. Within a year
of this diagnosis I was having severe mood
swings and that eventually lead to also
getting a diagnosis of Bipolar.
Recently my phd said that plaquenil can
induce mental disorders, but once it is
activated its here to stay.
I would never have taken that med if I for
once thought it could lead to THIS. I can
deal with the schleroderma much easier
than dealing with Bipolar, I am just a
mess now that I have found this out.
