Penis Question
Posted: 02-26-08 04:16am

After doing some reading, i believe i have what is called "full phimosis". Not only does my foreskin not fully retract, but it does not even come close - even if the penis is flacid. This has been the case for my whole life - i actually always thought it was rather normal.

I have been trying to stretch it a bit lately, which has helped, but it is still not very close to being fully retracted.

My question is, is this likely to cause any health problems? I have not had any problems with it at all so far, but if I am likely to have any in the future, then i would like to do something about it.

My main two concerns are:
1) I am unable to clean under the foreskin, but apparently this can be quite important
2) It could be problematic during sex (At the moment i'm a virgin so I wouldn't know)

Will it be ok if i leave it as is? If not, what should i do to stop future problems occuring?

Thanks.

According to your description that the foreskin of your penis not fully retract, I'd agree that you could be experiencing phimosis. Phimosis is usually a congenital condition. During phimosis, the opening on the foreskin is so narrow that the head of the penis can’t pass through it completely. Men diagnosed with phimosis are more susceptible to develop infections of the foreskin and the head of the penis (balanopostitis). But the main problem during phimosis occurs when a man become sexually active. At that time, erection can become very painful and the man is then unable to perform sexual intercourse. The only way to treat phimosis is via surgical operation for circumcision. You can consult an urologist for more details.
