not pregnant one year after miscarriage and Factor V
Posted: 02-26-08 12:18pm

And my wife has still not gotten pregnant.

She is getting very discouraged each month that it doesn't happen. The worse part was when a friend of our that just got married not even a year ago go pregnant and is due in May. She got so upset about that since we would have been due in 12 months ago.

Is there anything else we can do to possibly help?

My wife has the blood problem called Factor V so she has been on baby aspirin and prenatal vitamins.

Yep, alot of people we know are getting or going to have soon...

She will be going to the doc at the end of the month and will be asking what to do. She is also taking her BBT each day now so we will see how that turns out.

Welcome back! (sorry it has to be under these circumstances) I'm not sure if you remember me, my name is Christy, we spoke some while you and you wife were experiencing difficulties in the last pregnancy.

I'm glad they were able to give her a reason for the miscarriage. (I assume that is how they discovered that she has factor V) even thought I know that doesn't make things any easier.

Baby asprin and prenatals sound like a wonderful start.

How long has she been charting her bbt? Does she use fertility friend?

There are a few of us that have been charting for quite some time so if she (or you) have any questions, please feel free to ask us. I think she will find that it is a wonderful tool in ttc. She will be able to see when/if she is ovulating and that will raise your chances of having well timed sex.

If she has not tried them yet, I suggest that she use ovulation prediction tests (we refer to them as OPK's) They will be able to tell her 24-36 hours before ovulation and are great when paired with bbt charting.

Good luck and please keep us updated!

Well per fertilityfriend, she is currently 8 DPO. She is telling me that she has had a little twinge of something lower and to the left that will be there for a bit and then go away. That has been doing that for the last 2 days she says. Today she said that her lower back hurt a bit... Now, it could just be that her back hurts who knows LOL. This is the breakdown of her temps. Let me know what you all think about it:

All taken at 7am except for 2 of them

97.70 Light period
97.52 Spotting period
97.52
97.52
96.87
97.06
97.52
97.41
97.16
97.19
97.55 Taken at 9AM
97.22
97.39
97.36
97.05 Start ovulation
97.70
97.33
97.70 Taken at 10AM
97.17
97.74
97.83
97.74
97.76 4-25-08

Can you post a link to her page?

You go to "sharing" on the left hand side of the page.
Then you go to "home page setup".
The link at the top of that page is "Your Charting Home Page Web Address"

Just copy and paste the link that is in that box.

I'd love to take a look at it.

Looking at it on paper, not on the chart it looks like she actually might have ovulated on the day of 97.17. Which would put her at 4 dpo. So, don't be surprised if Fertility Friend changes her date in a few days. However, I could be wrong. It is hard to visualize when it is just on paper.

It's hard to tell. Fertility friend could be right.

However, I think she is 6 dpo today. I bet if she changed her detection method to FAM it would agree with me.

But I could be wrong. I'll keep watching it for the next few days. How long has she been temping?

reflexology aiding conception
Posted: 04-27-08 14:42pm

Hello,
have been reading these posts and it brings back terrible memories. my husband & I tried for 2 years to get preg - doctors not much help at all! each monthly period destroyed me.
I read an article on reflexology aiding conception and decided to give it a go - 6 weeks later I was pregnant. Now have 2 beautiful girls.
Reflexology is non-invasive and can do no harm so worth a go but do find a reputable reflexologist. Do not give up hope try everything possible - it is SO worth it.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL

Well she went to the doctors on Monday for the normal check-up. After she left there she was bleeding and had thought that she might have started. Well, that only lasted for monday and come tuesday it was just spotting till the afternoon. Since tuesday, she has had no period and just a little cramping here and there.

She is really confused as to what is going on. She has never had a 1 day period.

She is thinking about taking another test in the mroning since it will be 36 days since her last.

Well I "hopefully" have some good news.

She has had alot of cramping and she decided to take a test and it came back positive. She then had me get another one just to see... LOL and that one was also positive.

We went to the doctors and again tested positive. He ended up giving her progesterone suppository and also a script for lovenox because heprin is very hard to get right now. He took blood to check her hcg level and she will be getting it checked again on Sun. We will see him again on Mon and if all goes well she will then be starting the shots next week.

The best thing is that she only has to do them once a day instead of twice with heperin.

All of this happens after they say she is not ovulating and they wanted her to start on clomid this cycle.

Well, according to what I have calculated it is around Feb 1st but the doc hasn't said anything yet. Just taking it one step at a time I guess and wishing for the best.

Another update.

We went to the doctor today to see what her hcg levels were on Fri and Sun... Basically they were 80 on friday and 160 on sunday. Good news so far but we have a long way to go yet.

We will be going back next monday for a ultrasound to see if we see anything (which the doc says we should).

UPDATE!

Went to the doctors today and we saw the sac. Everything is looking good according to the doctor.

She has also now started her lovenox shots today and she said that they are not bad at all. The nice thing is that it is only once a day.

We go back next Fri for another checkup and to see the yolk and what will become the spine (can't remember what its called)

Thanks again for everyones support.
