Women proposing marriage....

do you think it is less romantic? why? is it old fashioned to think that only men should propose marriage? we are supposed to be post-feminism, so what does a woman proposing marriage to a man mean in this day and age? are you for it or against it?

(of course i'm speaking only about heterosexual couples here. i don't know the specific dynamics of most homosexual relationships but because they are both the same gender i didn't think the question applied or didn't know how to apply it, perhaps.)

Have you read the book "He's Just Not That Into You"? It really sums up my answer to your question.

I think it's old fashioned, cute, and somewhat taboo for a woman to ask a man to marry her. Why not, though? In the end it's an agreement between two people. Someone's gotta bring it up.

That's what I meant to say.
