pain in both knees and ankles Posted: 02-28-08 14:41pm
Ok, I am only 17 yrs old, & I am
experiencing some very bad pain in both my
knees & sumtime even in my
ankles..........
I haven't went to the doctor about it, but
my mom & brother(which is a nurse), said
its more then likely arthiritis.........
It dosn't bother me all the time, but
mostly when its cold & mostly @ nite.....
A lot of people in my family have it.
Is it hereditary? & What are somethings I
can do about it?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

What type of arthritis is running in your
family?
When do you usually have the most intense
pain in your joints (at night and after
period of resting or in the mornings)?

I'm not sure what kind runs in my family,
but it's most intense at night & when
its cold or bad weather.

Are you experiencing morning stiffness
lasting more than an hour?
Do you feel extremely fatigue?
Do you have pain in other joints, like
small ones at your fingers?

Hi!
I hope I can be of some assistance with
this as I might just know what you are
talking about.
1. Have you experienced any sudden
"Growth-Spurts" or have gone through any
sudden "Growth-Spurts".
2. The pain you experience at night, is
it an intense "dull" penetrating pain.
3. If you were to run your hand up your
leg, starting from half-way above your
ankle, up to your knee, do you feel a
slight "bump" below your knee?
4. Do you find it difficult/painfull to
stand/walk for a long time, climb stairs
or pick up heavy objects?
