New Depressed Girl

I have been off work since feb 6th. I
was treated unfairly at work and had a
burnout or breakdown. The doctor put me
on stress leave and then diagnosed severe
depression. The problem is I now have a
phobia about my workplace and can't even
go in there without taking extra meds. I
also don't think the celexa is working.
I still have extreme anxiety and
depression. Some days aren't bad but
most of the time i'm dizzy, can't remember
words or things, have severe body pain, and
that knot in my neck. Some days I wish I
would die just to put me out of my misery.
My husband says he has not seen a change
in the past 2 months with me, so how do
we get back into the work force when we
don't know from one day to the next how we
are going to feel? My short term just
got denied by my insurance. I do have a
call into mental health and hopefully they
can help. This is a very confusing
sickness I want to do things and do try to
make myself. Could there be something
else wrong with me? Cindy

I just got off the phone with community
health and she doesn't think they will
help me. She said to get a direction
from my doctor for a pshyciatrist.
You know this really makes me mad. How
are we supposed to get help?
There is no posssible way I could work
right now and I need help to get me
through this. Do you think my celexa is
screwing me up more? I got up today and
had more body pain. I can't do anything
when I have it. So now what am I
supposed to do? Should I go to work and
quit and get it over with? That was the
cause of all of this mess! I had
benefits so at least I was getting some
money while I was away. I don't know i'm
so confused! I wish someone on celexa
would talk to me.

Never been on celexa before but all I can
say is you badly need to relax a bit take
a time out or something young as I maybe
but I reckon if you think that work was
the cause of all this than yes you should
quite some times people at community
health have no idea about what they're
talking bout go with what you think is
right besides you never know maybe its the
right way to go either way you have to be
strong to get out of this alive

Thank you for answering me. I came on
here to talk to people and you are this
first one to answer me. Thank you. I
am going to call my doctors office today
and see if I can get in sooner than june
10th. I can't take the body pain and
don't even know whether I can take tylonol
or pain pills.
I have also subscribed to that andrew
guys book course so I hope that will help.
I know I have to get off this celexa and
do it slowly. So here comes even longer
time off. My husband has offered to come
to the doctors with me because sometimes I
don't think I explain things properly so
he understands what i'm saying. Thanks
for listening cindy

Thanks for the answer again death. ( you
need to change your name.) maybe peace to
all or something like that. Well I have
my appointment for tomorrow and still
don't have the forms for my insurance
appeal. I just want to get better. My
family needs me to be normal! These
drugs just make me numb and I know that is
no good. Today I think I will sit in the
sun. Thanks again, cindy

hey cindy. What I can recommend you is
gingko biloba, which helps depression and
also helps the memory. I bought it
through a very cheap website called www.Doctor-vitamin.Com. I hope it will help you!

Cindy,
there are many meds (natural &
prescibed) for depression - here we often
know them under different names to you so
the prescibed ones you need to talk to the
dr about, but if a tablet makes you feel
bad or has bad side effects then it's no
good. Some natural depression meds aside
from (or as well as) gingko are sam-e
(200-400mg), 5htp (50-100mg) and valerian
so give some thought to natural
alternatives & definitely accept help
& support from your husband (he's
going through this too so it will help him
to a) help you & b) know for himself
what the dr does & does not say/do).
Good luck.

I am back from the doctor and he is going
to fax my insurance copy a letter so I can
appeal. He has also hooked me up with a
new doctor for counseling. I have called
but do not have my appointment yet. I am
going off celexa, I am going to take one
half for a week then one quarter. I also
got my blood tested today to make sure
there is nothing else going on. I know
the next 2 weeks aren't going to be nice.
I have read some horror stories about
going off this drug but I cannot be numb
all the time. My husband didn't say too
much while we were there but he was great
for support. So wish me luck on this new
journey i'm about to take. Also I am
going to get my vitamins and start
building my body back up. Bye for now
cindy

Cindy,
go on-line & research some of the
natural things I suggested (& i'm sure
there are others) these take longer to
work than presciption meds but are
healthier & generally don't have the
bad side effects.
Good luck & keep in touch.

I talked to my new Dr. Yesterday
afternoon and he doesn't want me to go off
celexa until after I have spoken to him on
tuesday. I can't believe I got in that
fast! I hope he doesn't want to increase
it i'll really be mush. Just when you
get your mind made up to do something
someone else confuses you. He didn't
think my symptoms were caused by celexa.
They are all on the list of side effects.
Do these guys not read up on this stuff?
I really think this is bad for me but
i'll wait and see what he says.
Thanks for talking to me, your suggestions
help. I have heard of ginko biloba and
st johns wort but you can't take them
while on this drug. Oh I found out it is
okay to take tylonol for pain! Yea
another pill!
Talk to u later cindy

Cindy,
go on-line (actually you must already be
on-line if you're reading this!!) &
research celexa & side effects abit
more & also try & research other
drugs that are used in similar
circumstances & their side effects, be
educated & prepared before you return
to the dr!!
Also check out cbt & the other natural
drugs/remedies I mentioned as maybe you
can't take some but you can take others??

Here, here. Really good advice from
purple and q I always obsessed
about my health and other stuff that made
no sense. It got so bad that I eventually
got panic disorder which stinks! I
recently finished my cbt group and weaned
off drugs and i'm feeling great now
though. You owe it to yourself to give
cbt a try, it really works wonders fast
 the two books we
used in my group are really good and I
would recommend them both highly: been
there, done that? Do this! By sam obitz
for anxiety and depression and mastery of
your anxiety and panic-third edition by
michelle craske and david barlow for panic
disorder.

Well everybody, today is the first day of
my life! I have been to the Dr. The new
one and he was sooo great! I have major
depressive disorder and I am going off the
celexa. I start tomorrow with a half
dosage. I am going to start taking b
vitamins, c and a . These are all
supposed to help.
To anyone out there who has never been to
a therapist or counsellor please go!!!
They talk to you, they reassure you, they
treat you like a human being. You are
not rushed and they answer all of your
questions.
Thank you, thank you. Today I am going
to start getting better!!!

Hello everyone, it's friday and i'm on day
3 of 1/2 of my celexa so far so good. I
don't know if its the super b-50 or
cutting my dose but i'm already starting
to feel better. The new doctor said I do
not have to go back to work at that
horrible place due to my condition, so
that has helped a lot too. I still have
to deal with it though. But they got the
note this morning for 3 weeks off. I had
my husband take it in. My regular Dr.
Said to send him in instead of ruining my
day. Any way I just wanted you all to
know that things are looking up in a very
good way for the first time in a very long
time. There really is hope, don't ever
give up, tomorrow is always a new day,
be there for its new developments. Cindy

Your new dr sounds good & I pray all
continues to go well, but please remember
that life has ups & downs for us all,
so don't get upset or feel let down if you
have a bad day or see a lousy movie or
whatever, these things happen & as you
said there's always another day.
Good luck

Stop This Insanity!!

That's all I have to say.
We are living in an age when information
is being suppressed because there is too
much big business in the healthcare
profession. Drugs are not the answer, but
unfortunately that's all you know about,
since the ama and fda have suppressed
cures that already exist.
You need to be treated with
electro-medicine, namely a ces device
called the alpha-stim. This small unit
sends tiny electrical impulses to the
brain, which in turn releases
neurochemicals and eventually restores
homeostasis. It is completely safe and
has been used for over 30 years without
one incident of injury. There are very
few sided effects and those are just in
the beginning of use and will go away
after the first week. This is a self
administered treatment and you can do it
in your home. Very easy to use. And this
is a cure! It will put your brain back
into normal homeostasis, or as one
researcher put it, "the way the brain was
born to be."
check out this quote:
explaining his theories as to why
alpha-stim works, Dr. Bauer said, “there
is evidence that there is a balancing
process going on. Cells that are
performing at sub-optimal levels are
stimulated to ’turn on’ and produce what
they’re supposed to produce, probably
through dna, which is stimulated through
the cell membrane. I believe that normal
cells simply resonate with the electrical
impulses we send in because they’re
already doing their job. But diseased
cells will take up this energy and
literally be turned on. The thing that’s
nice is that you can’t damage anything
where you’re treating since you’re only
bringing things back into balance, up to
the optimal level, which is normal.”
medication is a dead end street and as
long as you stay on that path, then you'll
be a slave to the drug companies, plus
you'll live a subpar life, because
anti-depressants are a very ineffective
treatment when the stress levels get to be
too high. Btw, I used to be on paxil, so
I do have experience with ssri's.
There is another unit out there called the
health pax and it is not a presecription
device (the alpha-stim is). It used to
be, but now is sold over the counter and
you can get it for about half the price as
the alpha-stim or for about $250.00. The
health pax has the exact same electrical
specs as the alpha-stim and will do the
same thing. I personally use the health
pax and it balanced me within 2 weeks as I
weaned myself off of paxil. I feel great,
too!
Alpha-stim.Com (this site will give you
all the info you need and answer any
questions about ces)
dynamind.Com (this is a site where you can
order the health pax)
btw, ces is an fda approved treatment for
anxiety and depression.
