I am a 19 year old male with no apparent
health ailments. The day (sometimes two)
following orgasm I get moderately
(sometimes severely) depressed. This has
been happening since the onset of puberty.
Can anyone offer possible suggestions as
to the cause of the problem? It forces me
to avoid sexual peak when arroused.

this happens to me too. I found this
forum looking for an answer to why this
happens. It screws me up for 2-3 days.
I am on antidepression meds. could that
have something to do with it?

Well, your brain produces these things (I
can't remember what the technical term for
it is) and they're called endorphins.
Endorphins essentially just make you
happy. Sunlight is used by the brain to
create endorphins but because it's winter,
some people's brains can't produce enough
endorphins to keep them happy. That's
where medication comes in, or sometimes
special lightbulbs (the mini sun).
Having educated you a bit on what
endorphins are; the orgasm you have had is
just a bunch of endorphins used
simultaneously. Now, because you're using
anti depressants, we may already assume
that it's because your brain doesn't
produce endorphins fast enough. This is
likely why you feel so down after
climaxing. You've just used a bunch of
endorphins and you don't have enough left
to keep you stable for a couple of days.
I'd draw you a diagram, but I think you
understand.
Anyway, hope I've helped!
