Q: Missed Pills, Sex And Scared

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a problem that I have. I recently skipped a pill on friday and that night had sex with my boyfriend not using any other kind method of birth control and then I also skipped my pill on saturday and also again at sex that night. I took my two pills at 2 am on saturday. In my package of pills this was the week after my sugar pills. So I guess my question is should I worry about getting pregnant? Thank you for listening and your advice

Yes you should worry! You won't know if you are pregnant until your next period, but you definitely could be. You had sex a little early for conception to occur in most women, but everybody is different, and you could be one of those who ovulate early. I'd see if I was late next period, and definitely take a test if you are!

In april I ovulated around 9 days after my period started and I ended up pregnant. You could be a floater.

It is highly possible, and because it's been more than 72 hours, you can't use ecp, so now you just have to wait it out. Take a test in about 3 wks, and let us know what happens.

Good luck,

I have a similar question about the birth control. I take them pretty regularly, I think the one or two times I missed last month I took them the following morning. My boyfriend and I have sex, but he doesn't ever get anything inside me (unless it's pre and we just don't know about it I suppose.) last month was only my 5th month of birth control, and I got what I thought was my period a week early. It lasted all the way through what would have been my regular period, except not as heavy. However it was bright red, and wasn't what I imagined regular spotting to be. I also need to mention that I recently got put on a extremely strict diet for some health related problems, and lost about 9 or 10 pounds within a few weeks, and i've heard that weight loss can affect your period. But a part of me still can't help being scared of pregnancy...I haven't really noticed any of the signs, except maybe being naseous (however that could very well be related to the other health problems). But i'm still scared...Am I just being paranoid?

I think so. From what you describe, I don't think you are pregnant. Just be careful about missing pills! Remember - even if you _do_ take every one, they still have a 1% or so failure rate.
