i just saw my gp. I got the results of
the ct scan I had on my back. They said I
have no deterioration in my back, thank
goodness. Unfortunately it did show some
problems with my uterus. I have to have
an ultrasound on it. He is also sending
me for an eeg because of the headaches and
nerve pain. I guess it's a step in the
right direction.
i'm nervous about the problems with my
uterus. I just had a cervical biopsy done
because of abnormal cells and i'm waiting
on the results. I hope it's nothing
serious. Has anybody ever had lupus
related problems with there uterus??
Keep smiling :d

Nerve Pain Posted: 09-18-03 17:12pm
hi, jenn, the
thing they gave me for my nerve pain was
(nortripoline) I hope I spelled that
correct. I don't take it any more! With
me taking dilantin for my sezures, it
made me a zobbie! I tried and tried to
take it. But I just couldn't funtion. It
worked, but the side affects were just
more than I could handle. Eeg's are
nothing, the worst part about them is the
glue they use . It gets all in your hair
and is a bear to get it out!
keep us updated....Sharon

Hi sharon,
thanks for listening. I'm not nervous
about the tests just the outcome. I take
a nerve blocker called amytriptiline. It
helps with some pain but not all and if I
want to function I can only take it before
bed.
Have you ever had any lupus related
problems with your reproductive organs?
It's not something I hear of very often.
Considering my options i'd rather that my
uterine problems be lupus related than
anything else.
My doc is also sending me to the
optomitrist. He said there may be
something worng with my middle vision
(what ever that means).
Thanks again,
jenn

To answer your question. I had problems
in that area. I had to have a
hysterectomy in 98. I do have two sons
but I did have a hard time.
I've never heard od that drug before, but
there are lots out there.

Yes, lupus can affect your reproductive
organs. I also have heard of patients
being put through menopause because of
severe organ involvement.
