Fetal Heartbeat???? Posted: 06-07-04 13:17pm
This is my first pregnancy and I had a
question when can you actually hear a
heartbeat and see the baby on ultrasound.
Can you please let me know I have my first
appointment on friday and im wondering
what I should be able to see or hear and
when im 9 weeks and the nurse said they
would do an ultrasound because I had a
miscarriage not to long ago. But I really
dont have to many symptoms so im kind of
worried. Please respond.

Yes you can. You will be able to see
everything, including arms and legs! I
had my ten week u/s last week and it was
amazing! The baby waved its arms and
swam around when the doctor pressed on my
tummy. And right now, you can only see
the baby's heartbeat. They kind of turn
it into sound with computers, but you
aren't really hearing the heartbeat,
you're hearing a computers version of the
video of the heartbeat. You can hear it
starting at about 12 weeks I think.

Yeah I Heard the Heart Beat Posted: 06-10-04 00:32am
When I was about 14 weeks I heard my
little girls heart beat the sad thing was
she had a bad heart and well I had to have
an abortion to remove her because I had
open heart sugery when I was 11 and the
doctors said the baby would be a lot worse
then I was, it was really hard and I still
cant really think about it to this day I
try to bring it out of my head and act
like it never happened how do I get over
something like this.
