wassup! My name is ciara and I have a few
questions and I was wondering if any of
you could please help answer them...
Ok, I have a daughter, amari, who is 1 yrs
old. I got pregnant with her at 14 and
gave birth at 15. Her father was my first
sexual partner.
After me and her father broke up, she was
2 weeks old, I got into a new relationship
and had unprotected sex with him all the
time. Soon after that, I didn't feel
right so I went to get tested and was
diagnosed with chlamydia and gonnorhea. I
got both cured with antibiotics. I broke
up with him soon after.
I am now hpv positive and I don't know who
gave it to me, its between amari's father
or my last boyfriend.
But my question is, is there a way I can
find out if I can have anymore kids?
Because I hear that chlamydia and
gonnorhea can scar the fallopian tubes...I
know their are procedures where the scar
tissue can be removed but is there a
certain test where they can determine if I
have scarred fallopian tubes?
Thanks!

Untreated std's like chlamydia and
gonorrhea can develop into pid (pelvic
inflammatory disease) which can cause
scarring of the tubes.
I would speak to your ob/gyn about the
liklihood of this being an issue for you.
There is a test called an hsg
(hysterosalpingogram) which can check
whether or not the tubes are clear and
can, also, usually determine if there is
scar tissue affecting their placement and
position.
That would be the first step.
The success of any reconstructive
treatment (if any should prove necessary)
would depend on the extent of the damage.
