but nobody answered my question ... How common is
it to pick godparents? I don't have
godparents and I haven't even thought
about them! I sure wasn't planning on
spending time trying to figure out who to
pick!
I think it differs from family to family.
Everyone in my family has godparents but
it's not a "requirment". Don't stress
hun!

I thought that was the point of baptising,
i'm so lost. I would never be able to
pick god parents, because I dont' know any
couples that are together, and it would
make no sense to have a god mother and god
father that weren't together. This stuff
is confusing to me.

The purpose of godparents is for if god
forbid anything would happen to you or
your hubby the godparents take you place
in raising you child. The godparents
should be people you know you could trust
with your child's life.

My godparents are my uncle brad and my
godmother is my moms old bestfriend from
when she was a teenager. Pick someone
that you are close to and that u think u
will always be close to.

I have godparents, but they arn't
together. I don't see why it matters if
they're together if they love the child.
my mom is also a godparent.
My foster sister wants me to pick her as a
godparent, but thats just not a good idea.
