This may be due to any number of things
but the first thought I had was are you
female & how old?? Menopause??

I am male. 24 years old. I am losing
hair at alarming rate since my diagnosis
too.

Ok, well in that case I guess menopause is
not likely to be the cause!! At least I
sure hope not!!
still despite what many people think men
do have hormonal ups & downs too - so
hormone imbalance may be worth checking (a
simple blood test wiil tell that).
High blood pressure; often due to stress,
distress, worry, perfectionism (&
therefore never being really satisfied
with yourself & your results be it at
work or study etc) so as this can also
cause hair loss I would suggest you try
starting with the following:
a walk at around dawn for about 30-60
minutes, 50mg pd of 5htp (tryptophan -
google to get details of what this does
& how or I can explain when I have
more time), yoga, meditation, relaxation.
All these will help destress you & get
your system working more healthily.
Oh, & stress etc will also cause
confusion>>> the blood spots may
be an allergy or as with the flushes a
side effect of the high blood pressure
&/or hormonal imbalance which is also
caused by &or made worse by stress.
The thing is once this mnerry go round
starts its hard to know what styarted
first.
The things suggested above were prescibed
by a dr for my daughter r stress so are
not just quackery or anything.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am really
worried about the blood spots which seems
to appear after I exert myself in sports
or if I get extremely tensed up in anger.

First Things First!! Posted: 06-13-04 02:28am
First, thanks for actually
replying/answering questions - so many
people say they want help but don't give
information to allow help to be given!!
Second, you need to start to take action
to help yourself!! so, please start
taking a walk 30-60 minutes at around dawn
(weather permitting - overcast is ok, but
don't get ill in rain etc!! - that won't
help!!) try & get a good basic yoga
video/dvd that includes yoga meditation
(kill 2 birds with one stone) & start
doing these too. At your age & as you
already do sport your only real problem
with this might be the relaxing but my
daughter (16) found that doing the
meditation in with the yoga was better
than trying to actually do a relaxation
tape etc.
Both of the above are free/cheap (you
could even borrow a yoga tape (library) or
2 & test them out to see what suits
you). So there's no excuse except
fear/stress & that is what you need to
overcome.
Third, where exactly do the blood spots
appear?? Face?? Sweat areas?? All
over??
fourth, have you changed your diet, job,
home environment or travelled recently
(like before this started!!)???? I had
been overseas for awhile, came home &
about 2-3 months later broke out in this
horrid rash all around my mouth - the dr
explained that sometimes life changes can
cause al sorts of odd reactions & this
is all it was, once I settled down etc
& calmed down about the rash!!!!!!!!
it went away. Stress & change can do
weird things.
