Since birth, my baby has had toubles with
his hemoglobin(red blood cells that were
smaller and less abundant than normal).
He became anemic, was put on iron and now
his red cells are fine. However, the
doctor mentioned at our nine month
check-up that his white cell count was "a
little" low and has been for awhile. She
never mentioned anything about his white
cells before and i'm wondering what could
be the cause of the low count. Except
for a couple of minor colds and a clogged
tear duct (that just recently cleared up)
he's been very healthy. Is this
something to worry about? Can a low wbc
count occur without an underlying medical
reason, and is it ever known to resolve
itself without medical intervention?

I am totally out of my depth here but I do
think that you should see a specialist
& perhaps more than one as well as
doing on-line research to educate yourself
as I think that this could be a problem -
I do pray i'm wrong though.
I would also suggest checking out what
altrnative therapies say (like naturopathy
etc) about this sort of thing.
