Thought I'd Finally Say Something...
Posted: 06-15-04 12:58pm

Hey, i've been to this website for the past 6 months or so, and came to the teen pregnancy forum about 4 months ago. While ive been here reading and learning about each of you ive never really said anything. I thought that maybe I would speak up finally and see how I would be received among all of you!

Just a little about myself: my name is teagan, I am 18 years old, live in canada and have been going out with my bf for almost a year.

One problem that I may find myself in soon is being pregnant. I am currently on bc, but took a few at the wrong times this past month and had sex b4 I should have without any extra protection. Also I was spotting a couple days ago, which hasn't happened since I started on bc. I will find out for sure on thursday.

If I am I would like to stay on this forum throughout the duration of my pregnancy, and if not I would like to stay here as well and make new friends! Smile

We'd be glad to have you too! Forgive us if we are wary of newcomers, we've been burned by many girls who have come recently. Many of them turned out to be fake or were mean and hateful. But we are very accepting of new people like us. :d

Anyways, there isn't anything that you have to worry about with me I don't believe. However chanda, you can still do a background check on me if you want..To make sure im 'clean', lol. :p

Kari,

at this time I don't know if I would keep the baby or not. I mean I probably would, and I know the father (my current bf) would always be there, and be very supportive. I've had a pregnancy scare with him before, and he was the one who was calm about it, where as I was nervous and really really stressed.

The hardest part about the whole thing (if I am) will be telling my family. I live with my grandparents, I think they would be shocked and angry at first, but would eventually be excited.. My mom got pregnant with me when she was 20 (she deliberately got pregnant, so this guy would be in her life forever) and my grandparents were accepting of that, and have basically raised me since I was born. Consequently i've never met my real dad, yup my mom told him to get lost when another guy she liked came around. Anyways, when I was 2 her and who I call my dad got married (i was the cutest lil flower girl ever! Lol)...Their marriage from what I remember was good for a couple years, then caca started hitting the fan, and my mom was cheating. My dad found out and moved out on us. Anyways, long story short my mom chose her boyfriend over me in the end and kicked me out of the her house. So I went to live with my dad (this is the part where telling him would be hard comes into effect), I lived there for not even a year before he got all religious and wouldn't let me do anything. So I moved and came here to my grandparents house. So far so good.

So in the end cross your fingers that im not pregnant right now!! I want to become more settled and 'financially stable' (lol) before I think about having a little one!

You sound very mature in hoping to wait until you are truly ready to have a child. Now days on this forum that is very admirable. I hope you aren't....Unless you want to be. Either way good luck hun!
