I have kind of a weird situation. I went
off the pill about a month and a half ago.
My boyfriend and I haven't been very
careful but we do use the withdrawl
method. 4 days ago he didn't withdrawl
though and 2 days later I noticed slight
cramps in my lower abs area. Yesterday
when we had sex one position that normally
feels fine hurt and I think he hit my
cervix. Could this be because of the
cervix moving? Am I ovulating? What
are the odds that I could end up pregnant
from this? I didn't know if this went in
this forum but I figured i'd try it
anyways. Any input is helpful!

I know that sometimes after sex for me, I
get an aching feeling in that region. I
have researched a bit and found a few
explanations. Deep penetration is the
first and foremost. That can "bruise"
the cervix and cause pain. It can also
end up putting pressure on your ovaries
and that can cause pain as will.
From experience though, if it doesn't go
away in a few days or gets worse, go to
the doctor asap. If it happens again
try taking an advil to reduce any
inflammation. Also go on some form of
birth control. Pregnancy scares are
well scary and can create a lot of stress
on your body which can further throw your
system out of whack. Try going onto the
planned parenthood website. I think
they even have some info about calling a
nurse or getting a reply from a doctor.
Good luck and be safe.

Cervical position doesn't change only with
menstrual cycle. If you are fully
aroused your vagina will open up and
elongate (as well as getting wet). Now
if you're not too aroused or too into it
and you have sex, and your vagina hasn't
stretched out a health forum are very good
he could be bumping into your cervix.
And yes it does hurt. And the person
above me gave good advice about seeing a
doctor if the pain continues.

Thanks for the input. Even though i've
only been off the pill for 2 months I did
have my period last month. It started on
the 19th, though I doubt i'm on a normal
cycle yet so soon from being off it. If I
don't get it by the end of this week i'm
going to take a pregnancy test. I don't
think it's been long enough to get a
positive result yet.
