How to Rid Bags Under Eyes??
Posted: 09-20-03 13:34pm

Hi,

my problem is that I always have bags under my eyes, no matter how much or how little sleep I get. I'll even sleep a full 10 hours like a baby and I still have dark bags under my eyes. What could I do about this? Is it my diet, sleep position, or anything else?? Someone please give me some advice. Thanks!

I have bags under my eyes but I believe in my case it is completely hereditary. Does anyone else have bags in your family?

the Best Way to Get Rid of Bags
Posted: 10-09-03 11:58am

I too used to have horrible bags under my eyes when I was in college. I was spending late nights out and sometimes going a day or two before getting to bed. I got a job my first summer away from home at bath & body works. They sell these great little gel packs (i am not sure what they are really called) and they go into the refrig. At night and when you get up in the morning you just place the packs on your eyes for 5 to 8 minutes. Not only does it help reduce, and sometimes get rid of the bags (it just depends on how dark the bags are), but these packs help you feel a little fresher! The coolness of the packs just helps out a lot. I think I paid $8 for the pair, but if you do not have the money I have found that spoons in the refrig. Work just as well. Do not put the spoons in the refrig. Over night they will be too cold for your eyes, just place them in there when you wake up in the morning and when you get out of the shower go get them and place them on your eyes for 5 to 8 minutes. I hope this will help a little.

Ole Wives Tales But It Works!

Coming from the fairy godmother......Believe in miracles! My grandmother taught me if you would gently rub preparation h under your eyes, it would take the puffiness and bagginess away. Yes, hemorrhoid cream. Just do not get this into your eyes. It sounds freaky, but it does work. :p

Drink alot of water. Also, the neutrogena eye cream for puffiness and dark circles works good, and so does the clinique eye cream, although it's more expensive. For a temporary solution put two spoons in the freezer and in the morning take them out and put them under your eyes. Hope it works for ya :d

I got this from another site, this might help:

"first of all, most dark circles are caused by the appearance of veins beneath the thin skin under our eyes. As we age and our skin becomes more damaged due to sun exposure, the skin under our eyes becomes thinner and more wrinkled, which allows the veins in this fatty padded area under the eye to appear more prominent. These veins also become more swollen and obvious in people with allergies. Similarly, people with a history of eczema, hay fever or asthma often develop dark circles. They do, of course, become more apparent with a lack of sleep. In some people with dark skin, circles under the eye may actually be due to superficial pigmentation of the skin and not the underlying veins.
Common sense measures such as getting plenty of sleep and treating allergies can often help. Short-term tricks of the trade include applying cool cucumber slices or cool tea bags to the under-eye area, which helps to reduce swelling. Cosmetic concealers and foundation can also work wonders for tired looking eye circles. Choose a gold-based colour that matches your skin shade exactly (the gold will counteract the blueness of the under-eye circle). The most common mistake women make when applying concealer is choosing a colour that's too light - which only achieves a 'reverse raccoon' effect. Another common mistake is putting the concealer only under the eye. You should apply it all around the eye area and blend it in well. After applying, set the concealer with a light dusting of translucent face powder so that it stays put. To avoid drawing attention to your under-eye area, don't apply eyeliner or mascara to your lower lashes.

Often, the inner corner of your eye is the darkest part, so a white shimmer pencil will cover it. Some companies manufacture a blueish or white pencil just for this purpose."

Magnetic Sleep Mask
Posted: 04-09-06 14:05pm

I used to have bags under my eyes for years as did many members in my family. My doctor introduced me to a sleep mask with magnetic technology that caused the bags to not come in as dark and in my parents case ...Go away completely. I also noticed that in addition to the bags becoming less noticeable , I slept better and awoke less during the night. Magnetic technology is great for balance and allowing the body to self heal and recuperate. I am now lookign in to a magnetic sleep system from the same company that has had a profound effect on many people with sleep challenges.

Eye Bags

I too have this problem and after visiting a surgeon I was advised that these are caused by hernia where the muscles have released and the fat has pooled. Plastic surgery is supposed to be able to take care of this. Cool

sorry to be dramatic, but don't put spoons in the freezer overnight and on your eyes in the morning or they will get stuck like on dumb and dumber how the guys tongue gets stuck to the pole...Lol (at least I think that is the movie) just put them in the fridge for fifteen minutes in the morning:)
let me know if this helps

Eye Bags - Got Rid Of It
Posted: 05-15-08 14:30pm

Hi,
I'm Wendy.I used to get bags under my eyes all the time mostly due to my inability to fall asleep. I would stay up late thinking about something then wake up early next morning only to see little bags under my eyes. I somehow managed to kick the habit of staying up late but my eye bags wouldn't go away.I then recently read an article about a woman who supposedly got rid of her eye bags using a particular eye care product. I tried the same product and it worked pretty well. My eye bags had nearly disappeared within 2 weeks.
