Hard At First, Then Gone Forever?
Posted: 06-17-04 20:06pm

I am a young, teenage male, and sexually active as I have been for the past 6 or so months. Before being sexually active I had masturbate almost once a day to various pornography in all its readily-available internet forms, and I still do when I am not having sex.

When I am having sex, I have a good erection at the start, but if I pull it out to try another position I lose it and I cant get it back, i've tried manual stimulation, recieving oral sex from my partners, and 'stuffing it in' in hopes of achieving an erection during intercourse. I have divorcing parents and such emotional issues, but they arent on my mind that often, nor are any negative things during sex. Does anyone know the problem? Perhaps too much masturbation/pornography has desensitized me? Hormones? I would appreciate any help, thank you.

Masturbation does not harm your body at all, but if you do masturbate a lot and watch porn and whatnot, it can make the real thing boring to you.
Well, not really boring, but porn is mainly unrealistic and when you watch that and please yourself, then when you have "real" sex it may just not be enough for you. Some people actually get to the point where they cannot get an erection at all when they are about to have intercourse and can only be stimulated by porn.
So, that may not be it, but I think it would be worth it to lay off of the porn altogether for a while and masturbate a little less. Just to see if it helps. If it doesn't help then maybe it is just stress, or you could be putting too much pressure on yourself while performing. Try to relax also.
