Daycare Or Sitters

Has anyone decided on a daycare or sitter for your baby. If so which one, and about how much does it cost a week, and how long will you stay with your baby until you go back to work/school? I would like to get a sitter for my baby, you know in home. I would feel safer that way b/c I can set up cameras to watch them, or at least tell them I am putting up cameras to scare em stupid so that they won't try anything. Hehe!! But I am serious. But the only prob with that is that everyone charges about $8.50 to $9.00 an hour. And for the kind of hours I would need em ,the be making damn near more than me. And there is a daycare that is walking distance from my house ,and it is only $80.00 a week ,and only $75.00 if you go to the center and sign the application. And that sounds great ,but I am thinking about working over night full time like 11p-7a ,and they are only open 6a-6p (that is why I was thinking about staying out for the spring semester ,so that I can change my work hours to daytime). And on the other hand there are centers that say they are open for 24 hours in their ads ,but when I called I was told that they have no children at the moment that need over night care so they have no one to work over night. Arghhhhh. I am so pissed. Evil or
Very Mad

***just a thought should I put an ad in the paper and ,set my own price (what I am willing to pay), which won't be much I hope who ever wants the job is just doing it for x tra cash and not a living, but I do expect them to have references and be cpr certified.
