Not true! I was on an an iron supplement from the time I was about 12 weeks till I delivered...Then they told me to keep taking it because I am breastfeeding. But I did not have bad bleeding at all. I had an easy, problem-free delivery and I am sure you will too!

No its the other way round if your iron is low and you are not on a supplement then your at risk of bleeding quite a bit and having to have a transfusion, I only know this because on my second they was not going to let me have a homebirth because my iron was near enough at blood transfusion level before I had even gone into labor and I couldn't take iron tablets but I went to the health shop and bought spatone which is a liquid form and it brought my iron up just enough for me to stay at home but I was lucky because my waters went I phoned my midwife she arrived at 4:50pm and my son was born at 5:07pm didnt think she expected that one because I had no labor pains lol it went from nothing to me being in agony and pushing him out so if I wasn't allowed to have a home birth he would have been to quick for me to even get to the hosp lol
