Water Intake And Medicine...
Posted: 06-23-04 08:50am

I am taking etodolac tabs, 400mg., for arthritis in my hip. It was substituted for lodine. I knew that it could be hard on my stomach unless I ate a good meal with it, and drank a lot of water. I take one tablet twice a day.

I was drinking a glass of water that is between 24oz. And 32oz. Every hour or two. As many as I could comfortably drink throughout the day. Then my pain started coming back and got really bad. I was wondering if maybe I could have been drinking so much water that I was flushing the medicine out of my system before it could be of any benefit to me.

So I quit drinking all that water. I cut back to a minimum of water intake. Now my pain is all gone. Is what i'm describing possible? Or is it just coincidence?

Thank you.
