Hi, this is my first post on this forum. Im sure that I have some kind of depression, as I suffer from almost all of the normal symptoms. My problems seem less serious than others posted on this forum, so my main concern is what they might lead to if I dont do anything. I would like to get in contact with someone (anonymous) with the same kind of problems to share experiences with. - kevin (norway)

This year, national depression screening day will be held on oct. 9. Those who call will get the name and location of a screening site, where they will be screened for a range of common emotional situations that often go undiagnosed and misunderstood, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and manic-depression. As part of the program, attendees will hear an educational presentation, complete a written self-assessment and have the opportunity to talk privately with a mental health professional. The program is free and completely confidential. Nearly 4,000 sites across the country will participate in this year's program. The phone lines are open now.
