Implantation Bleeding? Late Ovulation? Posted: 06-26-04 05:57am
My wife's last menstrual period was last
march 28,2004
april no period
we checked last may 29, using home preg
kit, result is negative. No period
still.
June 8, last sexual intercourse
june 9, she noticed light bleeding when
she woke up. This lasted for only a
day.
June 26, she is experiencing nausea.
Is it possible for her to ovulate in june
knowing that her last cycle was last
march?
What are the chances that she is indeed
pregnant?

It's absolutely possible.
Just because your wife's last period was
on march 28th, it doesn't necessarily mean
she ovulated afterward, within the
expected (approx) 14 day time period (keep
in mind a 28 day cycle is just an
average). Some women have really long
cycles, pcos, delayed ovulation due to
stress, illness etc...
Your wife could have ovulated during any
point in the three months following her
last period (and, in fact, may not have
ovulated yet) so pregnancy is very
possible.
Light bleeding can indicate the
breakthrough bleeding associated with pcos
but it can also indicate implantation or
ovulation.
If she's experiencing nausea, i'd test.
I sincerely hope congratulations are in
order.
Good luck!!
