My Girlfriend Is Sick...any Ideas?

Ok my girlfriend never has an appetite...And she never eats...I dont think she eats anything healthy and she eats something and shortly after gets nausea and throws up...She says that after she throws up she feels better and is hungry but anyone can tell that that is not healthy at all...She has lost about 15 pounds...She is about 98lbs now and she has been wanting gain weight but she cant cuz she is never hungry!!! And this throwing up doesnt help...She went to the doctor thinking it was like an ulcer or some type of stomach virus but doctors found nothing...And simply said it was stress...She doesnt want to take any more medicine for it cuz when she does she throws up...And she gets headaches as well...So its like her stomach is practically empty every day...Anyone have any ideas? Im really worried about her

My only advice is to talk to her and get her to see a counsellor. She may have an eating disorder - she could be anorexic - but she doesn't necessarily have to be. I don't know where you live, but there are a number of organisations who can help your girlfriend to get help. If there are no physical causes of her loss of appetite, it may well be psychological. Get her to confide in you by gently approaching her about her problem without being accusatory or critical. Just try to listen to her and show compassion. That way, she may open up, and you can convince her to seek help. She really needs your support, because it is often not easy for a person with an ed to admit to themselves that they have a problem (take a look at some of the posts on this message board; also, I have been there myself, I know). Once she gets over her denial, she will be ready to receive help. I'm sorry, but this generic piece of advice is the only info I can give; but take it from me, I was bulimic for years and counselling has helped me stop and live a normal life, so your girlfriend can, too. Heya. I agree with the above post, get her to a counciller, shes ill and she needs help. It could be that she's aneorexic and bulimic if she is throwing her food up as well. I know how hard it is trying to help someone with an eating disorder as one of my friends is recovering from aneorexia, and it's been a hard time for her. I think you need to be suppourtive and try and help her to relax when she gets back from work or whatever, that way if shee feels more relaxed perhaps her eating habits can turn back to normal. It'll take time, so be paitient and help her out.
