This post is in reference to the previous postings about a certain individual on the forum. I think she is giving a nice gesture to women by keeping up with their posts and offering advice. I do agree on the other hand that she should not give advice regarding symptoms during pregnancy only because real symptoms are alot different from textbook symptoms. Women join the post to talk to "relate" to others about what they are going through. But other opinion are nice sometimes too. Rolling Eyes

I was pregnant but that doesn't mean I know everything there is to know about pregnancy. I try to help as much as I can in any way I can. I have a ba in family and social services and I am currenly working on becoming a youth worker.

I think that is absolutely wonderful! Go you! I just feel that someone who has never experienced pregnancy should not be reassuring people of their symptoms or problems. Having sisters who were pregnant is nothing compared to actually being pregnant. I have worked in ob offices since high school and learned alot from other people's experiences and from reading, but when I actually got pregnant everything was completely different.

Since joining the post , it has kind of bothered me that nikki was on here telling women they won't have symptoms until 3 -4 weeks after they miss their period when half the women on here ae less than 8 weeks pregnant. If a women knows her body she will be able to tell as soon as the egg is fertilized.

I was only concerned because I wanted to talk with women who have been where I am now (9 weeks) and find out how they are feeling and if they have the same "problems" I have been having. I have many books, magazines, and internet sources to read from. I didn't want answers...I wanted real life opinions.

Nikki has seen both her sisters go through pregnancies so im sure it's very valid information.

I on the other hand was pregnant about...6 years ago! And if you asked me how it was at 9 weeks I dont even think I can remeber! I try not to think about my pregnancy, I dont think i've mentioned it before. My daughter died shortly after birth, it was about 3 hours because of a severely malformed heart. I miss her terribly.

I have seen countless women go through their pregnancues having worked in an ob office, but like I said... You cannot compare any two pregnancies... And definately can't compare if you've never been pregnant.

I am terribly sorry about your experience, tanya. I couldn't imagine going through what you have. I think your an asset to the forum and have a heart of gold. Stay strong!

Re: Seen It All
~there is no substitute for real life experience~[/quote]

i couldn't have said it better. I really thought going into this whole new world of being pregnant myself, I would be ready for anything. I never expected things to be the way thay actually are. You just can't compare and someone who is not pregnant or has not been can not relate or give advice even if they're a damn gynecologist!

You know I dont care if you all hate me. I will still be here. Because whether you like it or not there are alot of girls that love my advice and kind words. And they love the scripture I find for them that have patience. I dont hate you guys for being mean to me. I can forgive too.
