Q: How Do They Know?

I just had my 18 week ultrasound and the sonographer told us that we will be having a baby girl because she couldn't see any boy parts. My question is can they, in the ultrasound, see the girl parts as well or not?

i have a two year old son and they can see girl parts as well as boys. I'm the only one out of all five of my friends who had a boy, and I have seen all there ultrasound pictures.
