Baby Blues
Posted: 07-02-04 20:45pm

Man, do I have the baby blues or what?!?! Everytime I look at jaydyn I want to cry...I think about how much my life has changed and how her daddy is such an @$$(his birthday is tomorrow btw)-i love her to death, but im so scared of raising her! Im gonna die the first time she ever gets sick! I dont want her out of my sight! I know those of ya'll that have had ur kiddos know what im talking about...And if not, u will konw soon!

There is no love like the love for ur child!
Any time they cry and u cant figure out whats wrong, u wanna cry too...
When they draw blood at the hospital from her and give her her shots u wanna cry with her...You, yourself dont matter anymore, its all about ur baby!.... You go without showers, makeup, sleep, everything!

Its all I can do to find time to take a shower! Its crazy! And to blowdry ur hair, u feel like ur taking up too much time that u should b spending with ur child.

I hope I dont get postpardom depression, but im gonna keep my head high...

My exboyfriend wants to b a "father figure" to jaydyn, but I dont know if im ready for another relationship...Hes really sweet and would do anything for us..But u know? Its kindda weird...He stayed with me in the hospital the whole time(ill show pix tuesday when I get them back)

i dunno..Im confused..Sorry so long just felt a lil emotional

Don't worry girl! I know how you feel....It took everything I had not to bawl when josh got his shots.....And showers don't concern you anymore because you know that baby is so much more important. And trust me, sometimes josh refuses to sleep in his bed but I don't wanna spoil him and put him in mine, so I rock him, put him down, he wakes up, and I do it again and again and again.....Sometimes I get so tired and frustrated that I have to put him down and go scream into the pillow and stomp my feet and cry like a baby....But it's part of it. And the next morning, it doesn't seem like a big deal. I know its hard being a single mom. But you can do it girl. And it's ok to cry. Whenever you feel lonely or overwhelmed or like the world is against you it's ok!!! I'm here for you if you ever need to talk....You have a beautiful daughter and I know you will take great care of her!

Haha...When alex was about 4 days old he was crying so I went to go make his bottle and I was so freaked cause he was crying....And so I was making the bottle all fast and I dropped it on the ground and it spilled everywhere....So I started bawling and threw the bottle and I was like " I cant do this!! My baby is starving! Im a bad mother!" my mom made him a bottle while I calmed down..And after that I was fine...But I just sometimes cried over the dumbest things

Jordan you are going to do great. I didnt even have my kid yet and thats all that goes through my head is fear! Fear that I wont raise him right or that I wont be able to handle it. Hey ive been around kids since I was like 10 ive always been the lil mommy type. My nephew was born when I was 10 and the other when I was 12 and ive been babysitting ever since so I got my share of experience but it is different when its ur own, u cant give em back . You have to deal with it. Ull be an excellent mom . Ive learned that about u from ur personality just by talkin with ya. And I mean that. And as crazy as it sounds this is true to a certain extent.... But those vicodin ur takin well lol those r really gonna make u super emotional as if it aint bad enough u just had a baby. I used to take those for fun!!! They can make u feel all good and then reall deppressed. To me takin a vicodin is like havin a alcoholic drink w/o the major impairment. Any of this make sense to u? Anyhow ur gonna be ok. I promise. ~ erica.

If only molly wasn't kidding.
I totally agree with what molly said, only I am not kidding. Jordan as you may know I too had a c-section and unlike yourself I didn't take any medication except one tylenol (note: 1). I think it is totally immature of you to dope yourself up on medication and then attempt to care for jaydyn. One time when you are going to take too much medication, you aren't going to hear her cries and no one is going to be around to help you care for her. You seem to be so concerned about her wellbeing but if you really care then you shoudln't be doping yourself up like that. You are making yourself look very immature by bragging about taking so much medication and then laughing about it, when you have an infant lying next to you. I hope you take all the information in and think about it. I hope it doesn't piss you off. I am just being real.

Vicodin combines a narcotic analgesic (painkiller) and cough reliever with a non-narcotic analgesic for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain. Vicodin can be habit-forming. If you take this drug over a long period of time, you can become mentally and physically dependent on it, and you may find the drug no longer works for you at the prescribed dosage.

Vicodin may make you drowsy, less alert, or unable to function well physically. Do not drive a car, operate machinery, or perform any other potentially dangerous activities until you know how this drug affects you.

Use caution in taking vicodin if you have a head injury. Narcotics tend to increase the pressure of the fluid within the skull, and this effect may be exaggerated by head injuries. Side effects of narcotics can interfere in the treatment of people with head injuries.

Use vicodin with caution if you have a severe liver or kidney disorder, an underactive thyroid gland, addison's disease (a disease of the adrenal glands), an enlarged prostate, or urethral stricture (narrowing of the tube carrying urine from the bladder).

Older adults and those in a weakened condition should be careful using this drug, since it contains a narcotic.

Narcotics such as vicodin may interfere with the diagnosis and treatment of people with abdominal conditions.

Hydrocodone suppresses the cough reflex; therefore, be careful using vicodin after an operation or if you have a lung disease.

High doses of hydrocodone may produce slowed breathing; if you are sensitive to this drug, you are more likely to experience this effect.

Doping myself up? Haha, excuse me, but im not " doping" myself up. The pain killers the Dr. Gave me dont impair u or whatnot. They do what their name says kill the pain! Everyones pain threshold is different so dont even go there...Bragging? What the medical question? You think the Dr. Would give u meds that would impair me taking care of my daughter? I think not..Shes well taken care of thank you. Everyone thats had a csection is different~so dont try and make me feel bad b/c u only had one tylenol..Thats stupid to put urself through that pain when u can ease it. Of all people I didnt expect this sort of "bashing" from you..But sooner or later u see everyones true colors...

Shauna- vicodin is the painkiller that the Dr. Gave me.

They usually dont just give it out like that shauna. And I am not bashing you, I am just telling you to look out for you. You need to watch what you are doing. You dont need to come on here and brag "i just took vicodin and ib.." jordan, when have you ever known me to bash you.....I realize that everyone is different when it comes to csections, I just saying take it easy. You dont want to become addicted. I have seen it happen. I didnt suffer through pain...

Omg I took like a bunch of hydrocodone this one time with a bunch of adderol (sp?) and tylenol and I was tweakin for 2 days straight.....I didn't sleep 2 nights in a row and I was driving myself crazy making this annoying clicking sound with my mouth....I felt like I was absoloutly crazy. That stuff does weird things to you. It made me panic thinking I couldnt breathe. Bad stuff that is.

Well, I do not want this to turn into bashing, but I took 2 vics one day, I was driving home with angela, and jordan is correct, they effect people different, but.... I could barly drive! It was a stupid thing to do at the time and knowing I had to drive! Jordan, I did notice the "bragging" or so it seemed. I think she just wants to you be careful. I was going to say something, but I know our history and I didn't want you to think I was trying to be mean.
