Uti not responding

I've been getting uti's for about 15 years- when I was younger I might get 2 in a year, now it's about 1 a year.
I'm kinda freaked about the latest one- i've been on cipro for 7 days (last night was my last dose) and I think I still have it. I still have to urinate more frequently than "normal"- but I can't tell if i'm just being hypersensitive. Is it possible that I need a differnt anitbiotic- or does this mean there's something seriously wrong with me???

If u feel like u haven't gotten rid of it go back to ur doctor and have another ua... It could be that cipro is not the drug of choice for the bacteria u have this time... Levaquin, although more expensive works well and if all else fails some people have to receive a rocephin shot to jump start the antibiotics
