Hi I am 19 years old and just found out in
jan. That I am bipolar. I am also
manic-depressive. I was just wondering if
anyone out there has any info or
suggestions that might help me.

Look into ces & light/sound machines
these are non invasive & a one off
purchase (aside from batteries) and may
help more than meds in both short 7 long
term. You can go to a search engine or
try dynamind.Com or alphastim.Com but do
soemresearch to see if they seem like
they'd be of help. 19 is too young to
face a life of meds or unhappiness if
there is an alternative.

Help For Bipolar And Borderline Disorders Posted: 09-08-04 21:39pm
Baby,
hello I am ruby and I have been
diagnosised bipolar just about one year
ago. I am 48 years old and have had a
life full of struggles. First let me say
I am happy that you found out while you
are young. There are so many sites on
the web that can help. I have not found
that chat rooms help at all.
Check out dbt skills training at a local
community mental health service in your
area. There is a way to get help with
skills training on-line. This really
helps boaderline disorder and I believe
bipolar people like myself are also using
dbt skills too.
Check out www.Icebengals.Com
this site is created by a person with the
disorder. I am wowed by how much I have
learned just from this site.
If you want some book titles there are
some books that will help you and your
family. Let me know if this is what you
want and I will get the titles to you.
