Celexa (or Anything Similar) - What to Expect? Posted: 07-07-04 19:32pm
I started taking 10mg/day of celexa two
nights ago for the anxiety. Over the last
two days the anxiety has been really
really bad and I am wondering if this is
related to starting the meds. It is not
all due to the meds I know that, yesterday
my husband and I had an argument which
triggered a panic attack, but we worked
things out by last night and are fine now,
I even got some things off my chest which
have been bothering me and got a positive
responce. Because of that I don't feel
like the argument yesterday justifies how
bad my anxiety is today.
I have heard that starting these kinds of
pills can make the anxiety worse before
better. If so, would it begin making you
feel worse right away, and how long can it
have this bad side effect initially?
Has anyone else used celexa? If so how
did you find it?

I was the same way at first with celexa
but the Dr. Gave me something to take
with the celexa and it helped until I was
used to it. I know we are all different
with meds, check with your Dr. He might
want to try you on something different
than celexa as their are a lot of meds
similar to celexa, I am now on effexor
xr.
Sincerely,
sandy

I'm on celexa and physically it made me
feel really bad. It made me tired, raised
my heart rate, made me feel kinda shakey.
I've pretty much stopped taking it because
it made me feel so bad, even though I
should. But that's just how I react to
it, it could be totally opposite for you.
