Inverted Nipples

Hi - I am 22years old, a recent college
grad, and a strong young woman. I am not
at all self conscious about my body with
clothes on, but when it comes to taking
them off it is an entirely different
story. I have had inverted nipples my
entire life and this is a great source of
in-security for me. It has come to the
point where is has inhibited me from
having intense romantic relationships
because I have never felt comfortable
being nude in front of anyone else. 2
past relationships blew up because of
this, the first left because he felt that
I did not trust him enough to be open with
him. The second I had this discussion
with while he was out of town via the
internet and he decided that it was
something that he could not handle.
I have gone to see a cosmetic surgeon
that told me that if the operation was
done, there may be a chance for the
nipples to revert to the original position
plus I would not be able to breast feed or
may lose feeling in that area. At this
point I have no idea what to do. The
only people who know of this situation are
my parents and my doctor. The parents
have the usual advice - "one day you will
find someone who will accept you for all
that you are and all that you aren't -
don't worry - it isn't unusual."
is there anyone out there who has
inverted nipples and found love? Is
there anyone who has a lover that has this
problem? At this point I feel very
lonely - it seems like other things in my
life is working except for relationships.
I just want to know if people do have
active sexual lives - how do they go
about telling their partner? Or have
they had an operation to correct it?
Any contribution would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks so much for your
time!

Oh....Well mine are kinda like that...But
they come out when cold and things like
that. I didnt think something was wrong
with me. My husband is fine too. Hmmm.
I think you should be fine with the way
you are and dont make a big deal about it!
Some women have big noses or funny
teeth..This is nothing! Girl youll find a
guy whos ok with it trust me!! Thanks

Hey guys,
thanks for your input - don't feel bad
for asking, it's a question. Not wanting
to sound too much like an elementary
school teacher, but I strongly believe
that no honest questions are dumb or wrong
... I'm glad that you did ask. That is
exactly what it is - my nipples are still
light brown where the areola are, with the
exception that they do not stick out.
They go in. I was wondering - when it
comes down to it... How should I go about
telling someone about this. I mean I
tried it once with someone I thought I was
close with - and he walked away - its been
about a month since we talked. That
really tore me up. He knew my
personality completely, we talked about
everything in life ... And after this -
he just walked. It made me feel even
more uncomfortable about my situation. I
just don't know which way to go on the
matter. One side tells me I should have
more self worth like my parents tell me
and another just says go ahead and have
them fixed and don't even think about it
again. Anyway ... All of your responses
have made me feel a lot better.

Your best bet is to not tell a guy at all.
He wont figure it out. Because then they
are going to think you are obsessed about
it. Its like a little turn off. Imagine
a guy you meet (no nipples involved) and
first thing he says is..".Well im really
self consience (spell?) and im not
circumsized..It bothers me, but im trying
to live with it and every girl I get
close to I ruin it because I feel
embarassed by it. And I dont like a girl
to look at it either." what would you
think!? Like what is this guy talking
about!!! Its best off not mentioning it
until you are very close and able to talk
about things,thats kinda how they feel.
Its better left off as not mentioned. If
your with a guy and he looks at them..I
garantee hes not going to say "whats wrong
with them?" hes gonna say "wow those are
beautiful!!!!" not after two dates should
you say "i have weird nipples!" hes going
to be like "what???" makes you sound
weird. Try meeting a guy, let him know
the real you...Then if gets to seeing your
breats, let him..Be confident, and all

I have an idea! Although you might not
like it. Its very common for women with
inverted nipples to get them pierced!
This forces the nipple to stick out and in
my opinion looks wonderful! I have mine
pierced (but they are not inverted). Also
it does not affect or inhibit future
breast feeding.
Maybe a bit out there but think about it!

I just want to say that you are beautiful
no matter what. In fact your inverted
nipples add a quality to you that not many
have. You have breasts and you have an
areola and thats whats important. I am
sure if you find the right person who
loves you then he will love your breasts
too.
You just have not found the right person.
The guy that left you because of your
inverted nipples was narrow minded and
insincere and uncaring.
If you feel that insecure about it, then
by all means go out and take a chance with
the operation. And after its all over,
you will have a good laugh.
But I just want to let you know that you
are god's creation and nothing created by
god is ugly. You are beautiful and will
always be beautiful. You need to find the
person that accepts your beauty...

on my mind as well. I mean the piercing
that is, I have always thought it was cool
... I was just never sure if they could
do it to me. I might have to check into

I used to have one nipple that was kind of
inverted tho it grew out as I got older,
it never really has bothered me anyways

i'm sorry for any backlash that has
fallen upon you ... That was never my
intention. Other than apologize to you -
all that I can do is to reiterate your
words that people should mind their own
business. My question never treaded on
religious grounds in the least - I have my
beliefs and others have theirs and all
