Is This a Form of Seizure? Posted: 07-09-04 09:42am
Starting back in 1998 (i was just 62 at
the time) I experienced a weird, scary
sensation one afternoon. It was as
though my body suddenly wanted to go limp
unless I tightly clenched the muscles in
my arms, legs, feet, hands, fingers, toes,
and jaw and that if I did not I was about
to go, well somwhere else. It lasted
about 30 seconds, I was conscious and
aware of my surroundings. I had 3 more
attacks of this over a two day period and
then nothing at all until 2002. Since
then it has occurred on an irregular
basis; waking, standing, walking, or sound
asleep at the onset. I have had mris for
several unrelated matters; peripheral
neuropathy and autonomic dysfunction, but
the only thing of medical significance
found was that i'd had a silent stroke at
some time in the past.
Am I suffering some form of seizure or is
this something entirely different? My
neurologist hasn't found an explanation
for my problem.

While I have no idea of what might cause
this I would recommend that you look into
alternative medicine, naturopathy,
homeopathy & acupuncture - one of
these might have the answer - also have do
you take a good multi vitamin?? Maybe
read up on different vitamins & their
uses & you might find something that
you need a supplement of that might
help.
Good luck.
