At what point should I consider fertility
problems? My fiancee and I have been
trying but so far we have been unable to
conceive.

The general rule of thumb is, with no
underlying factors (ie. Endometriosis,
amenorrhea etc), you should seek advice
after a year of unprotected sex.
If you know or suspect you have issues
similar to those mentioned above, don't
wait. Have them treated right away.

You can start by checking your hormonal
status,
hormones you need to check is
fsh,lh,prolactin, estradiol, testosteron
and also some of bacterias can be not
welcome as chlamidia,esherihia colly,
check ureaplazma, microplazma, aerobi and
anaeroby.
It is 1 st step, very important!!!
They also need to check how your ovarium
looks like, if is necessary they will make
hsg or laparoscopy surgery.
Your fiancee should check sperms and then
you will be on right way to see what is
going on and what will be next step to
your babe.
I wish you luck and good bless you!!
Sorry on my english, im teriblle, I know

Fighting Infertility Posted: 07-28-04 15:04pm
Hi
we ttc for a second baby, with no success,
it's been 7 months, i'm 37 and wanna rush
and have one more baby before I turn 39,
so I have just 1 and half year left to
try. I'm taking my first steps in solving
infertility.
Next week i'm gonna have my bloodwork done
, it's gonna be 21 day of my cycle so i'll
have level of progesterone (tested on
cd21) and prolactin and tsh
(thyroid)tested.
Plus i'm gonna have biopsy next thursday
to find out my problem. Then i'll be
reffered to infertility specialist.
I don't wanna have anything hi-tech, I
know a friend of mine had to go through so
many tests , then she had icsi, it's very
hard. I think I won't do that but I don't
know yet, I might use some way of
insemination if I still have some time
left to get pregnant , I mean until I turn
39.
I have a daughter and we're thinking to
give her a sibling. I'm gonna just use
fertility drugs if I have to, if required
but I won't go too far I mean to
artificial insemination, iui or something
else, I don't know so much about that.
I think my lp is short according to my
charts but I need to have biopsy to make
sure what exactly causes infertility. My
dh will have a semen analysis.
I hope my problem is just lpd to deal
with.
